Being polite is very important when you request Kat's songs on a radio station. Write as if you're writing to someone of importance like your professor or boss etc. Formality will always impress the DJs, but please remember don't spam their mailbox by sending the same request mail to the same station everyday. You can submit you own sample letter and I will add it in the first post for other members to refer. Thanks so much and happy requesting! Kitty, thanks for your input and I have already added your sample letter in the first post. Guys, when you are using one of our sample letters to write a request email to a station, please feel free to modify it a bit and add a little thing your own, so that the letter won't be the exactly same with the sample. Imagine if all McPhans send the exactly same request email to a station, what would the DJ think? He or she probably would think that we are from Kat's street team (and yes we are but do we need to let them know? lol) and would just ignore our emails... worst case is they would ask us to stop sending emails. So here's a little tip for y'all.

Hey Kat Fans!!! Just checking back in to say I've called and emailed all the stations on my list. I think that everyone working together to contact all our local stations will have a positive impact for our girl! Don't give up everybody. It may take some time but surely our efforts will pay off in the long run. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Here's a copy of an email I sent to our local Pop station: Hey Andrea! It was a pleasure talking with you this morning! I'm a big B106 fan and look forward to listening LIVE from my PC at home. Per our conversation, I just got American Idol Runner-up Katharine McPhee's new single "My Destiny." It was just released on June 27th and I love it! I was wondering if you plan on playing it at your station? It's gotten rave reviews and is really worth the airtime. Please add it to your play list!
