After all this time, I've finally decided that we're not going to get a softcover keepsake copy of the Poetry Project book we presented to Kat in March. Instead, I'm posting a PDF file for download, so you can make your own printout at your leisure.
BTW, the last names have been removed for your privacy.
PLEASE use right click/Save As: Poetry Project PDF
Congrats to all of you who participated in this exceptional project. I am so envious of your talents. I recognize a number of you poets and artists are also active here at KMF. How fortunate Katharine is to have such gifted fans.!!!
I can't wait to delve into all the wonderful poetry and art within here. Thank you, thank you for sharing your creative voices about Katharine with us.
The PDF file is about 35M.
If any of you want an unbound hardcopy, I can print a limited number on quality paper and mail it to you for a fee. PM me for details. I'm sure a place like Staples would be cheaper though.
This project was truly a work of love, from all the fans who contributed material, to all the fans who appreciate the talents and efforts of those involved. Each and every fan helped to make this happen, because without the excitement everyone showed during that incredible year that began in January 2006, a subject for creative inspiration would not have existed.
Enjoy it, treasure it, and when you need a little inspiration, pull it out and remember those times when we were all at a Pheever pitch.
Wow!
I'm very much flattered by this book, being a proud KatFan!
I'm so grateful for the work put together in this book. It's priceless!
Thank you so very much for making it available in pdf file.
I've read and seen many original poetry and art works, and I'm truly amazed by the talents that are reflected in this book. I've also seen my two entries - on pages 17 and 29. Loved them! I never knew I could write such poems in such haste, but perhaps because of Katharine, I got so enthralled. I only knew about the poetry project in its last 2-3 days of the deadline when I joined the site. I'm thankful my entries were taken in.
Congratulations, everyone in the production team, for a job well done.
And, to you Katharine, my dear, --May you have a successful career and a happy youthful life forever! Please keep on singing. Your voice is truly a blessing!!

This book is a work of pure beauty--bar none. I've never really seen such a high bar set for an artistic gift project in a fan community other than this one...and I was more than gratified to be one small part of the contribution to it.
Yeah, Bill, I was going to ask a while back about what happened to the physical copies--but I figured I'd let it go since it apparently was an issue that couldn't be amended. Frankly, reading it in PDF file is preferable, because it saves storage space (believe me, I already have a lot of mementos in storage and available space is getting sparse lately )--and because I still have a lot of storage space available on my computer. I work on my computer frequently, too, so sitting down and reading it there whenever I want is the best of all worlds.
Let me commend again the artwork in this from Trina (very cute and ethereal animal art there, T) and, of course, the amazing Don for his phenomenal sense of design. Also again thanks to Gary (who's still AWOL here lately) for his thoughtful suggestions on editing and generous comments toward my own poems.
I've said before that poetry isn't my strong suit in the writing world. Nevertheless, I think that "Voice are One" piece was an example of better inspiration and creating something a little different that still meant something powerful to (hopefully) Kat and anybody else who related to it.
And, um...yeah, "A Kat to the Scat" (I think that's the name of it) was written in about ten seconds, thank you. It's good to have a quickie satire piece in there, though, for good measure.
I didn't remember how fantastic everybody's poems, haikus and general essays were in this book. Reading them through--this might be one of the greatest amateur (if you want to call it that) books ever published. Too bad it can't be promoted to an agent and get us all on the NY Times bestseller lists. Hello, literary agents looking in...
maybe it's to late for the Mcpoetry book but here is a late one from Dad
I sent Peisha a printed and bound copy of this for Christmas.
I had promised her a copy when we presented the hard cover version to Kat back in March, but then we never actually published a softcover version. So I printed and bound one especially for her.
That's nice, Bill. Thanks. It would be a priceless token of Katfans' love for Katharine. Merry Christmas!
A lovely gesture, Bill. I'm sure Peisha won't be looking for it so it should also make a wonderful Holiday surprize! Thanks for taking the iniative!
