Heh...you think they did that on purpose? NO WAY! You cynical person you! Yeah, I think for those of us who don't understand any of this we think, "Huh, she only got played 8 times yesterday? Is that good? Daughtry's been playing 5,000 times this week. What gives?"
But as I'm learning...she's doing just fine. This is how the radio thing works. And for her to be #125 in Pop and #126 in Adult Contemporary before her radio add date...that's really good. Thank you Wilkes-Barre station! At least for the Pop numbers.
Thanks for that link. The one I had only listed the Top 30 songs. Now I can see everything so I can find Katharine. The one with the individual markets still gives me an error message. Although I'm getting them in my e-mails daily (thank you Linda) so I don't have to have the link since it seems to be picky on my computer.
I think it's safe to assume that Over It will be in the Hot 100 by the time the album drops on January 30th. Once it "goes for adds" she'll probably settle into somewhere in the Top 50 I'd guess just looking at the numbers. And then how far she goes beyond that probably depends on how the album does.
Pardon me but...who really cares who gives the updates? We're all just sharing information with each other.
So she'll officially being "going for adds" on January 15th on both HAC & Top 40. Got it. I guess we'll start to see the number grow at a bigger rate next week then.
But from everything I gather looking at some other data...she's doing just fine. It might not seem like it those of us who don't understand all of this but from what I understand having educated myself a little on this...she's actually doing quite well for a brand new artist so far.
OI moves up to #108 today with a total of 47 spins so far this week. In addition, Kat is #11 on the Taking Off chart...not too bad for being out for about a week and having poor single promotion as of right now
She was #107...up 290 places from her #397 ranking last week when she had 2 spins on Jan 2. The cool thing is that she added five new stations bringing the total to 31 stations played so far. That's ahead of Daughtry's pace of radio adds. So...that's good.
