I heard her last night on WDVD 96.3 in Detroit. She was on the Hit or Miss challenge against The Fray. Anyone in that listening area should contact them for requests. I wondered what station would be the best and that looks like the one.

Love Story has always been available on iTunes. It is the #3 most downloaded Kat song behind OI and SOTR.

This is the best report for Love Story yet!! Great news all around!! Love Story is the #3 song on the Mediabase Taking Off chart! It is #4 on the AllAccess Taking Off chart and is now on the front page of the AllAccess site!! On the AllAccess Spincrease chart and Mediabase Jump chart she is #28!!

Kat's at #77 on Pop with 115 spins this week and has an AI of 0.127 mil. She now has a total of 146 spins since May 15th, with 22 new spins since yesterday.

New Stations/New Cities

New stations: WAKS-FM (Cleveland), KJYO-FM (Oklahoma City) and WPXY-FM (Rochester) twice.

She won a "Big A$$ Battle" in Cleveland against Crime Mob who had won 3 times before and defends her crown tonight!

I just talked to somebody at WDVD (which is right in my back yard) and we had a short conversation during which he said they had it but couldn't play it (aside from the Hit or Miss thing, I assume). I asked how are people supposed to request the song if you won't play it so they can hear it so they can like it and request it.... (whew) and he said I know, it's the whole chicken and the egg thing, isn't it? Then he talked about needing to do research, etc. and reiterated that they have it but can't play it. Which seems to be what a lot of stations are saying.

This is why we need to focus on certain stations as most others are like lemmings. They wait for a few stations to lead the way and they then follow. Getting Z100 was so huge for OI and she needs that and KIIS for Love Story. If we can get them for her then the other "sheep" will follow.

THURSDAY MEDIABASE REPORT 6/7/07

Well Kat fans the news just keeps getting better and better!!

THE BIG STORY TODAY IS URBAN SATELLITE!!!

Love Story got spun on XM-67!!!!! What is so great about this is #1 it is an Urban channel!!! OI NEVER got that!! AND that it is so early!! OI got it's first spin on satellite radio more than a month after its add date. Love Story did it in 8 days!!! New markets mean new fans and new fans mean new sales!!!

More great news!! Kat won her Big A$$ Battle in Cleveland last night against Mims and is back to defend it tonight!!! She is also doing well on some other On-Line Hot or Not type polls!!

Kat's at #73 on Pop with 137 spins and has an AI of 0.164 mil.
She now has a total of 172 spins since May 15th, with 26 new spins since yesterday.

WAEB-FM (Allentown).

XM Radio (X067-FM).

Love Story is still the #3 song on the Mediabase and AllAccess Taking Off charts!. It is now up to #24 on the  Jump/Spincrease charts!!!

#73...although she's going to start working off a little bigger numbers starting today.  She had been replacing spin days of 0, 1, 2 and yesterday 6.  Today's # is 16...so if she gets 25-30 today the jump won't be as much as it was yesterday.

I find all of this very interesting.  The whole "we can't play it".  All that means is that the boss hasn't approved it yet.  It's so difficult to get airplay unless you are a minted superstar that it's a constant battle.  Kat still doesn't have much of a presence on the radio outside of nighttime hours right now.  Although she did get a spin on WIHB in Charleston at 11 AM today.  And KVFX in Salt Lake & WZIP in Akron do play LS at all hours.

Anyway...the next step is big cities.  Sacramento (#26) is the biggest so far.  It would be huge if KIOI plays LS in San Francisco tomorrow when Kat's there.  They've been the best OI station so I'd hope they'd be enthusiastic about Love Story.  Kat can sell them on it!

Well Kat fans all of Kat's "adds" this week have begun playing Love Story! WXKB-FM (Ft. Myers) and WCGQ-FM (Columbus, GA) spun her for the first time yesterday!


Kat's at #73 on Pop with 146 spins and has an AI of 0.180 mil. She now has a total of 196 spins since May 15th, with 24 new spins since yesterday.

Love Story is #317 on HotAC with her Detroit spin!!

In Canada Love Story is #97 on Canadian HAC

In all of NA she has a total of 322 spins with a total AI of 1.376 million.

The song is now #6 on the AllAccess/Medfiabase Taking Off charts and #27 on the Jump/Spincrease charts.

Also Kat defended her title in the Big Ass Battle on WAKS in Cleveland last night and is back for a fourth night tonight!

I have been doing my bit here in Canada through personal radio connections and Love Story was played on CHFI-FM in Toronto this morning. Apparently one or two other stations are giving it some spins this week.

Maybe the Columbus, GA add will help Q100 (Atlanta), Star94(Atlanta) & HD98.3 (Augusta) playing it...I've been requesting LS via phone twice a day locally, because they have caller ID's and if you call too much they will most likely get annoyed with me LOL, I did that with Over It haha.
I find it so funny how people are so easy to judge people they don't know, but think they have the right to scrutinize others because those "others" are celebrities. From Britney Spears to Katharine McPhee radio hosts and magazines will always make unfair statements and allegations. I am fans of both Britney and Katharine, two totally different artists, but I find that whether you are a icon or a promising newcomer from a hit reality show, the punches and jabs will come and never stop...but I have news for the haters, they won't stop either so you can take your opinions and give them to people that care, because the fans are like, SO over it.

SATURDAY MEDIABASE REPORT 6/9/07

Well Kat won her battle in Cleveland again last night and will be back to defend her title on Monday! Also Love Story was spun in Detroit again last night! This is great news!!

Kat's at #73 on Pop with 157 spins and has an AI of 0.192 mil.

She's at #257 on Hot AC with 2 spins. She now has a total of 225 spins since May 15th, with 29 new spins since yesterday.

New Cities/New Stations

WXAJ Springfield/St Louis They were a big OI saupporter, not a reporting station but a KISS statio which is great!!

Kat has been sitting at #73 for a few days but looks on the verge of making a move probably tomorrow! She is closing in on out current AI winner Jordan Sparks at #70! 71 and 72 are dropping as well!
