I hope those figures don't include the weeklend of concerts sales?

concerts don't sell records.  They sell them, but nobody buys them.  They usually already own it.

Those numbers suck!!! This really irks me. She should be on Idol. I can't believe that people don't like this girl, I just don't get it.

Around 400 people bought the CD in Boston alone to get to get her autograph and meet her. Soundscan is working on venue sales to be included but bot sure if these were or not.

What she needs is a hit single. That is where the focus needs to be. An AI appearance will help but it is temporay. What she needs is a hit to get stores to stock the CD and get it more visible again.

i agree but i dont think love story is a HIT
imo. open toes or nug are much better single options
oh well hope rca payollas this

How is it that these sales don't count? Somebody had to buy them from somewhere in order to sell them at the venue. The more I find out about how things work,the less sense it makes.

Exactly...nothing is going to happen unless she has a hit single.  It's that simple.  And right now were in a transition period between Over It & Love Story.  There's nothing new and hot on the radio to excite people.  It's coming but it hasn't happened yet.  Except for KVFX in Salt Lake City...

NOW playing "LOVE STORY"  #138 at TOP 40  are WXSS-FM, Milwaukee  and WFBC-FM Greenville, SC and WXKS-FM BOSTON.

THANKS, WVNX-FM, NASHVILLE for playing "SOTR"  #217 at HOT AC.  Also, KIOI-FM, San Francisco, KYKY-FM,  St. Louis and KSTZ-FM, Des Moines are still playing "Over It"

It's time we stopped snivelling about Kat's non-appearance on Idol. It's over and we are wasting negative energy on the issue. Who knows how much of a boost AI would have given her, if any. We are looking for something to blame lackluster sales on when we could be expending positive energy in requesting Love Story

Agreed.... IF we don't start requesting "Love Story" soon, then Kat won't get anywhere...

Agreed!  In fact, I started this about 1-2 wks ago, when it was announced that "Love Story" was to be Kat's second single.  I changed my voting on Z100-NY's "High Noon" and "9 at 9" countdowns from "just" OI, to listing 3 of Kat's songs as my request!    My 3 requests - twice a day, every day, for the last week or so - have been "Love Story", "Over It", and then either "Open Toes" or "Each Other" as my 3rd choice.  Haven't seen any of them show up (or "back up", in the case of OI) on those countdown listings yet, but I'm stubborn so I'll just keep on voting this way for quite a while yet.  That, plus sending in "Kat Song" requests to my usual list of station selections, etc.

Let's see what we can do to push "Love Story" up to the top somewhere & give our Kat the chance that she needs to make the kind of music that she wants to make!

Thank you!! Has everyone forgotten how hard it was in the beginning to get Kat's "Over It" played???

Most stations are not just gonna play "Love Story" on their own.... They need and "want" our push...

its time to face the facts, any dummy can see, this music she is doing, is not working, to be honest, I have listened to this album many times, the problem is you can't hear her voice, people who voted for her, got dissapointed with this album, Iam glad she has a second chance, she has a voice for broadway!

Where is she now?
I find it so funny how people are so easy to judge people they don't know, but think they have the right to scrutinize others because those "others" are celebrities. From Britney Spears to Katharine McPhee radio hosts and magazines will always make unfair statements and allegations. I am fans of both Britney and Katharine, two totally different artists, but I find that whether you are a icon or a promising newcomer from a hit reality show, the punches and jabs will come and never stop...but I have news for the haters, they won't stop either so you can take your opinions and give them to people that care, because the fans are like, SO over it.
