So it is now a toll number in Boston, MA

It wasn't a spin it was a commercial that played about 25 seconds of the song. I was listening. Yes, counted as a spin for some reason. Really weird. The commercial came on and Yes went nuts. The commercial went J Records presents Katharine McPhee's Over It and then the song played a bit and then it was over.  It looks like it counts as a paid spin.

Now that is very interesting. Must have something to do with the digital information they embed in the song. But yea, that seems a bit strange. YES.com picked it up, wonder if Mediabase will.

I think they will all be counted, better to do both if you can.

And if you have a second Email address, send one from there too.

Last night they played in the fourth hour of the show and announced it as the 28th most requested.  In the past it has been harder to get the Sunday spin from this show so anything that you can do.   I've sent one email from two different accounts and am about to make my call.

Yes, supposedly the "lines are open" until around 9 PM but they are swamped tonight. I've been trying but it is crazy tonight.

Great !  I'm glad somebody is requesting from KMF, last week Katharine's Over It was only the 28th most requested song so we were lucky that they actually played it.  That J Records commercial that makes the Yes board jump has run twice already tonight!

Yep, got right thru on (508) 505-4257 & the gal said, "Oh Yeah, we did a phone interview with her 'cause her flight last wkend got snowed in at LAX"! I said "yeah, and those snow storms in LA are so unexpected the airlines don't know what to do but scrub the flight"! Anyway, she said they'd play "Over It" for me. So I got a laugh AND a spin otta the call!

That is cool.  I made one and the guy was asking me a ton of questions, like:

1.  Q: What song would you like to hear tonight?    A:  Over It by Katharine McPhee

2. Q: Where are you calling from?   A: Cupertino, CA

3. Q: How are you listening to us no station in San Jose, CA plays our show?  A: I'm streaming it over the Internet.

4. Q: What station are you streaming over the internet?   A: WSKS-FM 

I thought he might ask me for a bodily fluid sample there for a second or two.

And then he says, "Thanks for listening to Open House party and keep listening because that  song is coming up."

You cannot block your caller ID information ( I tried it and a recorded message said: "unblock to complete the call" ) so they know the area code and phone number of every requester that calls into that show.

Super gang, good work on keeping up the requests. Glad they played it again. Seems that has been pretty regular on Saturdays that past few weeks, yet no spins on Sunday. But lets try again tomorrow and see what happens. Hopefully she will be out to be on the show sometime soon. And from IDF I see that she may have very-well registered three playings as the 12-second commercial was played twice and picked up by YES (though we still are not sure that those commercials are counting at Mediabase or BDS). But still, its all exposure for Kat, so good stuff there!

Way to get through 8 times Nasa - Now that is dedication!

It depends on your long distance plan with the phone company.  In my case I've got a plan that includes 1 hour of long distance (which I would never use for the most part anyway) "free" with the phone plan that I have.  It usually isn't much at that time of night anyway (cheap rates for night weekends)  and you actually have to connect for it to cost anything, sometimes it is busy but last night wasn't one of those nights.

At 8:34 PDT on Sunday they played Over It for the first Sunday Open House Party ever. The DJ said, " You do know that she is supporting Sanjaya, don't you....Katharine McPhee Over It."

Very cool CRB, the first Sunday, awesome! That will definitely help spin count for the weekend. Wonder if they are gearing up for her to come back and visit, or if their call last week with her helped develop a bit more of allegiance to her, OR her song is a bit stronger in general this week on the charts, top 40 shows and spins across the country? Who knows, but great to see, It all builds on itself! Thanks for the report and your continued commitment to all you do for Kat.
