Not wanting to take the air out of this hot air balloon, why isn't KHTZ(100.3FM) playing 'Over It' more ? It's actually dropped from #13 to #23 on their playlist and is down from 42 spins to 30 spins this week?

according to z100s playlist on their site, she is 19, was 15.... week before was 19, then back up to 15... it seems to go down one week, then back up the next week....thats one thing i noticed, but i mean i could call EVERY hour and they only play it when its scheduled to play anyways...i don't think they really care about "requests" but in all honesty its been on both countdowns for a month now, which i think is pretty awesome, considering the "competition" ...

The number of spins that Over It has gotten from Z100 has been in no way justified by the chart position of this song. Without delving into the possible reasons why this may be, frankly, they have been spinning the hell out of the song considering its chart position.

So in a sense, Z100 has been a very helpful hand (gross understatement there ) in building chart position based on audience impressions (AI) and also demand in New York City for Over It and likely large numbers of album sales too, I suspect.

Now, Minnie, your question seems to be what justifies Z100 in dropping Over It's airplay when it is consistently on the Noon and 9@9 countdowns as one of the "most requested" songs. Great question and one I would love to know the answer to as well, but I fear that trying to find that answer is a bit like examining the teeth of the horse that was just gifted to you.
