Loved everything about that performance!

BUT,

Now I'm yurning for her interpretation of other classic beatles ballads like: "Yesterday", "Hey Jude", "Let It Be", and "The Long and Winding Road"......

I just read this comment and wanted to share it with the Kat fans!

5. McPhee wardrobe malfunctions? No way.
Katharine McPhee's performance was carefully choreographed so as to not show the back of her dress to the cameras. It was wispy and white, and you could tell that it risked becoming totally transparent under the stage lights.

The article was titled, Ten secrets about an American Idol taping. Could you imagine if her dress became "see through" during the show?! I could just imagine pace-makers across the world exploding! LOL!

I saw that earlier and so made a point of checking out Katharine's performance dress. It wasn't as shear as the reporter thought it was. It was sequined all the way around but the whispy drape of material started at the shoulders in the back and then was gathered at the waist in the back and then continued down the back of the dress to the hem. The part from the waist down was in two or three large pleats. Some people like to see more than what is really there! LOL!!!

I just read all of the posts on this thread and here's my take.  Imagine walking through a desert for days and days, weeks, months with only 3 cups of water a day. Then, one day when you're so thirsty you could      and it feels like you're going to   someone throws you into a huge pool of fresh, clear water  !  You just drink it in like you've never had water before!   Hearing Katharine was just like that for me. We have all been waiting so long for a "comeback" and come back she did!!!     Now I just want more, More, MORE!!!     and until I do I'm going to be

I am soooooo

in my mind the ultimate "Idol" contestant of the pre-lapsarian era, the one who most perfectly combined the demands for relentless emotive singing and the wow factor -- Katharine McPhee
