Hey, it's great to be in the "hen house" with Kat! Her message from last evening was exactly as I posted it so, I'm glad to be in such awesome company! We were excited by what she said and so it was posted! If someone hadn't posted her MySpace Bulletin, then I'm sure some fans would be upset that we didn't pass it along! If this is as confusing as life gets, then ..... bring it on!
Really, you just need to let some things roll off your back! After all, we're all just very anxious to see her perform and I'm sure that Dennis is dying to know if he will indeed get to witness Katharine's performance in person! Now that's the guy that has a right to be concerned over which Wednesday night she will be on. Dennis, I sure hope things work out and you get to hear Kat in person!!!
I believe the people who got tickets were told the 12th. But katharine's note was a little confusing. Sometimes we just get excited and want to get the news out there, and then, in this imperfect world, sometimes stuff happens. So sorry.

well........i for one as a true Kat fan, have no doubt that whatever she's singing, that she will be doing a great job, as she did while on AI in Season 5.
30 million + viewing? gee do you think she's aware of that? ummmmmm......yeah
and the ultimate professional that she has grown to become, she will do a great performance on this show and gain new fans. really looking forward to the show tomorrow night and it is so about time, but as they say, "good things come to those who wait" and we are patient and loyal Kat fans, well......some of us....

So do I. I have always called her Katharine in all my posts. It just flows out of the fingers automatically now. Easier to type than my own 5 character name.
Ryan as in Seacrest? I'm not on a first name basis with the little guy.
So we are sure the performance and the broadcast of the performance will be Wednesday night? That is what I thought originally, then all the doubts crept in. I had resigned myself to "yes, she is performing this wednesday but it won't be broadcast until next Wednesday.
So I will drive to work tomorrow so that I can be home by 9 pm (6 my time). See what I do for you Katharine? Missing my daily bike ride just so I can sit huddled in front of my computer reading the typed comments of other people who are watching you perform on TV 3000 miles away. This is progress? Double and a thrown in for good measure.
Eagerly awaiting the moment when someone types the name of the song. And the media soon after. Maybe someone can get it up on youtube within a few minutes and the high quality for downloading a bit later?

And I thought that I was the only one that it bothered to hear Katharine being called Kat. I know that I do use the abbreviation of her name in some of my posts but it's not a comfortable thing...I guess I was under the impression that since Kat was used so commonly for her that perhaps it was a family nickname. That's why I've never made anything out of it. Not that it would matter to anyone how I feel about it! It just so happens that with my given name of "Kathleen", I had to switch it to "Kathy" in Jr. High because I hated it when people mispronounced it as "Kathaleen". Even my own Grandpa said "Kathaleen".......yuk! I still hate it!
Tonight, along with the judges, Ryan was particularly irritating! He seems to set up the contestants for more uncomfortable moments by constantly going to Simon for "clarification", etc. on the remarks Simon just made and thus making us all endure more of Simon's cutting criticism....whether it's directed to the contestant or to Ryan, Paula, Randy or the audience! Two out of the three judges really are becoming extremely rude with their constant juvenile "clowning around" at the expense of the contestants and for that matter, even the viewing audience. After all, we are not on the inside of their private jokes and bantering. The performers stand there waiting to receive whatever remarks the "triumvirate" offer after having performed to what they feel was the best of their abilities. That alone must be nerve racking at best. But then, the judges really do add insult to injury with their way of trying to entertain themselves during the performances...especially, if they think the performance is boring! I do recall Simon addressing the issue in the past when asked about why he isn't paying closer attention to the performance of the contestant on the stage. His reply (if I recall correctly) is that he already has his mind made up after watching the dress rehearsal portion of the show so he doesn't have to listen and watch that closely. Really, they are like school kids trying to gain attention by behaving badly! It really appears as if Simon is extremely bored with the show. Will he make it to the end of his contract???
As far as tomorrow's performance by Katharine and David goes, I'm already "steeling" myself for the probable lack of courtesy and respect given to both Katharine and David. I still feel that Clive and Co. weren't very happy about Katharine going off to sing with Andrea Bocelli and David right after the AI Finale. My money is on Ryan dismissing Katharine and David as quickly as possible immediately after their performance to "get back to the business at hand"!!
At least Katharine knows she has a lot of fans who are thrilled at the opportunity to witness what has to be a wonderful performance!
