I don't think you can get most of the adults who want Kat to win to power vote. It just isn't important enough to them, which is reasonable (it is only a game show, and a lot have more important things to do). The key is to find the few old guys like Slice and I who don't care and vote like we are 14. That said, introducing people to Kat through video and mp3's can bring out the kid in them, and get people addicted.

BTW, Jaded, you might be the most mature (at least most well spoken) 17 year old ever. We don't get sick of hearing from you. You have a perspective that a lot of us don't have and we would like to attract a younger audience for Kat.

Kat has obviously appealed to them, so how could you get them to become "powervoters"?

Hmmm, that's a really good question, and I honestly don't think I have a clue how to answer it. What Chad said about adults not voting because they have better things to do - the same may be said for a lot of teenagers. The guys want to look at Kat while she's there, but I'm not sure they have enough of a vested interesting to make their own effort to keep her in the competition. I'm not sure how we could go about making them care. Haha. Find a website where teenage boys congregate and post pictures of Katharine? =p Surely there would be a few that would take interest. Haha.

Haha. Thanks, Chad. That's definitely a compliment. You may not be suprised to know that I plan on being an English major in college. =) I think that's where the "well spoken" part comes from. I think it's necessary to be well spoken if you want people to take you seriously. =) Oh, and I'm glad I can help with my "perspective." =p

LMAO..when I first read it I thought you were just calling ME out...then noticed that you included yourself in the post. You are not old until you hit 30...just kidding. So true...I have plenty of friends that watch the show religiously with their fiances, girlfriends, wives and won't vote because, "I'm not a 14 year old girl....." Screw that. If you watch the show, and have a favorite...even if its not KAT, you should take the time to push your favorite through to the next round.

JADED - That's not a bad idea....maybe create a Myspace account for Kat and have it appeal to teenage guys. Sure would provide more exposure and get some more votes for Ms. McPhee.

Yes, and also some of us married guys have to try and avoid our wives for 2 hours while we're "power voting" for Kat so the wife won't be ill at us for being into this 22 year old beautiful, talented female singer enough that we would keep a phone in our hands for 2 hours hitting the redial button. So far I've stayed out of hot water but I definitely keep a low profile after the show.
