Actually, I thought it came back in a BIG way late in the competition...her first take on Black Horse and the Cherry Tree. I heard some people say they thought singing it from the knees was a sign she was losing it, but I got a complete and total kick  out of it. It was the best of both worlds: a great display of humor AND a terrific vocal! I loved the way she giggled at the end...like she was laughing at herself for getting away with it!

I never even considered her first BHCH performance to be a goof. I thought she was trying to mix up her set-up. It was great. As for the 2nd performance, I believe that she stood up so she could apply more power to her voice in which she was losing as we all know by now. The time before, she still had her voice so she could even afford to sing running around in circles!!! Hahahaha! LOL

Yeah, I see the distinction you're making, but that performance strill struck me as being very uniquely her sense of humor, which is what I was getting at. And I don't mean to suggest she was goofing as in not taking it seriously, but she seemed to have a lot of fun with it.

^No doubt she had a ball!!! And yes, Kat does have a great, if unappreciated (by the masses) sense of humor. In fact, she'd be dynamite on Broadway in a musical comedy.

I love Kat's BHACT! This is the performace that people will remember for a long long long long time. It's just so original, fun, and great!

And another thing that I love about her is that she is such a goofball. She's just a fun person to be with (I've never met her but she seems like a super fun gal to be with).

I don't think she did BHCT II standing to gain power, I think it was more for variety. Oh well, maybe both, but she sure did OTR exactly the same--sitting on the stage. i think she figured she shouldn't mess with success on that one. Anyone who hadn't seen the first one was surely wowed by the second one. And the rest of us were wowed by how she was able to do it twice in a row. But she probably couldn't have two performances exactly identical to the originals, so she did Tree a bit different.

What did Katherine say that was wrong?  I have not always been a huge huge fan of hers on the show but the show is over now and I think people need to give Katherine and also Taylor a chance to start their careers off right but people find so many reasons for bashing both contestents before they even get a chance to do anything.  They are both good people and both have their fans.  People keep starting these wild rumors about Taylor and Katherine just because they didn't like them on American Idol.  Just remembr when you bash a contestent because you like someone else, that the person you like would not approve of it.  Katherine and Taylor are friends and they dont like it when their fans bash each other.  Katherine did not say anything wrong, she was actually more personable that I have ever seen her which is actually more good than bad.  I hope Katherine is succussful.  I didnt want her to win because I thought American Idol needed something new and Taylor was it but I am still a fan of Katherine and will buy her cds and support her.

A lot of you are saying that people won't like Kat if she doesn't fit the AI "mold" and if she doesn't always act upon her best behavior and have so much poise, but I think many people like her quirks and silly sense of humor; thats what attracts so many people to her. At least thats one reason why I do!!

i loved it too! she's really funny, she knows how to have a good laugh. i must say we have similar habits, and yes, i can't resist not touching my face when i see a small zit about to be born. i guess it's ok to let that out now, Kat did with ease. lol.. and i also bite my fingernails, but i guess i have toned it down a bit during my college years, but when you have alot in your mind, there's no escaping it! guess that's why i never get my fingernails done, it'll just get ruined.. and i think every girl loves plucking their eyebrows, i do it everyday, im a bit of an OC (and a sadist at that), so i hate it when there's a bit of hair re-growing, i just have to pluck away!

So, I FINALLY saw the video everyone was talking about and I just have to say that this video has gotten me through my days! I don't know how i've lived without it! From her sexy sigh in the beginning to her cute eye movement at the end, Katharine is a complete joy! A "far off land"??!!?? Where does she get this stuff"? I hope she keeps answering questions truthfully and not being afraid to speak her mind!

I finally saw it too! lol, very cute! Just Kat being cute and honest as usual. But honestly, I don't think it would work out with her and Paul Walker... they are just too beautiful. They'd be chased around the world by the paparazzi like Brad and Angelina and he'd never have a chance to have his way with her!

I know what you mean. Some of the AI bashers need to get a life. For real.

I loved that people quiz. She was so cute, and fun, and honest. BUt STILL...some HAD to finnd something wrong with it.

This reminds me near the end of the season, there was a thread titled "Taylor's Drug Usage". And on the board...there were like 6 different threads titled "Her personality....", and a whole bunch of other crap.

And when I commented on the "Taylor's Drug Usage" thread, saying what I found out....like howt he did drugs like 10 years ago. The SP were everywhere saying how "we" KatFans were too critical, and everyone makes mistakes.

And then...what really p/od me off was when they were being complete hypocrites.....they have one thread about Taylor being found with weed 10 years ago..which was eventually reported, and deleted, and they had like 6 threads all dissing Kat, and her personality.

That's the minds of some of these pirahanas, so just try to take it with a grain of salt...and defend Kat when need be.

She has more fans, than haters.....and I'm glad of that.

Katharine is great, lol. I agree that the bashers will find something to hate regardless, so Katharine should be comfortable just expressing who she truly is. I love that shes having fun, and being a bit silly in these interviews. So many celebrities are told the "right" things to say, and after a while it can become boring. But Kat keeps surprising me!

Also, we shouldn't really worry about the "American Idol" crowd anymore. The show is over, the votes have been cast. It isn't up to the angry Chris and Elliot fans anymore. Let them make all the fuss they want. Katharine is going to be a star regardless of what the blogs and forums say.


One of the things that makes me most angry/frustrated is when everyone says Kat dissed her hometown and her parents on the TOP 3 results show and then jumping all over her for The Larry King interview, where she did NOTHING wrong. No one remembered Taylor talking (though he did) becuase he didn't say anything memorable. And then they have the nerve to jump all over Kat for her "likes" and "you knows" when Taylor is just as guilty of them. The Soul Patrol....they have to be the sorest winners ever. I know it isn't all of them, but the ones with internet...The bashers are dumber than they give themselves credit for. Anyone with half a brain can perceive sarcasm.

Oh I know! I am so over these bashers, they are really bad on IDF. I dont even go there anymore, even the mods over there suspend us for defending Kat. So I am just like nope i wont put myself through something so stupid. So I dont get these people always picking on her. Actually I do, it gets down to jealousy, it annoys the crap out of me, but I guess us fans just have to suck it up and not let it get to us too much. It is isane. I am afraid to go to other forums because of all of the bashing!!
