That picture looks uncomfortable! She's squished into the sleigh and looking very cold (albeit hot at the same time! Hmm! Haha)

GREAT NEWS
That's interesting Kat made it on those Christian radio stations (when I saw "Salem" there--I thought it was something related to our capital city)--but I haven't had any fortune getting Portland's leading Christian FM station (KPDQ) to play it. I wrote them a couple of weeks ago along with all the other secular stations (including Z100, which is getting close to purgatory) and didn't get replies from any of them. As I said before, though, it's probably because they're waiting to see what everybody else is doing as usual. It's too bad they waited too long--unless they have nothing against playing Christmas music during New Year's week. In my mind, Kat's "OCAYF" is so good, you can hear it any time of the year (though probably not turning it up in the car on the 4th of July).
As far as I know, no station from the NW played it this season other than trsf's Seattle mention above. That just seems odd when it comes to making a decision on Christmas music. I guess that goes to show that the snowball effect (pun intended) applies even to holiday music with the program director. Almost every song--no matter the season or world situation--is carefully considered for business reasons.
Oh well, kudos to the stations that did play it--especially the San Diego stations. It basically made its way across the country and gave Kat some sales on iTunes. It's amazing what happened anyway considering the short notice. I haven't checked on iTunes tonight to see where it's ranking.
If Kat does something holiday-related next year--I still forward the EP route as Buble did a few years ago. Otherwise, we'll have to wait at least two or three years for a full Christmas album from her. A four-song diverse sampling of what she can do in that genre would probably reach the top of the charts on Amazon and also top the Hot 100. As witnessed with Josh Groban's "Noel" phenomenon--people are desiring meaningful Christmas albums again.
It's still Christmas Eve here in California, 11:00PM, but it is Christmas morning, 2:00 AM on the East coast. So Merry Christmas to you who are already celebrating Christmas day.
I found on Yes that these stations played "OCAYF"
KYXY played OCAYF, Dec. 23, 12:52 pm, Dec. 24, 12:02 am, and at 7:29pm
KYDE played OCAYF, Dec. 24, 2:36 am
Now that Christmas is over this is probably the final chart report for OCAYF. For a song that was never an official release to radio the fact that she got any spins at all is a credit to Kat and her fans! OCAYF had a final total of 30 registered spins with at least 9 on Christian talk stations that never got reported except for the sightings on YES. Her final chart positions are: #352 on Pop #180 on Mainstream AC with #16 on KYXY in San Diego On iTunes she is back up to #23 Thanks so much to all the great fans who helped with this song! Thanks to the folks at the YES site for adding it and allowing us to see the spins as they happened. Now on to the next great single for Kat!!! Happy New Year!!
I concur a great job done by katharinefans helping to get OCAYF out there and also look forward to the next Katharine Recording
Many thanks to all those that worked so hard promoting OCAYF.
As you may have seen from Kat's MySpace message, the effort has not gone unnoticed by Kat's team. They are quite pleased with the outcome, and I fully expect that they will come to us frequently for our outstanding grass-roots support.
