As we gear up for Kat's new single "Love Story," I have updated the Radio Request Support site so that it can address all of Kat's singles, not just Over It. So some of the information has been re-written to reflect this change. We of course do not yet have enough spins to warrant a link to the Mediabase report. As soon as the single is released and numbers start to come in, we will provide the link. We will also update the radio station's list by the time the single is released, so look for those updates as well. It is exciting to be gearing up for her next single and we are all much more savvy on the disciplines of radio requesting. So did Love Story get added today, or is it next week? I thought it would be the 29th until Kat said in that interview the 22nd. Perhaps it's been moved around much like her album release.

Gang, I just updated the Radio Request Site - Station Contacts List. Now all solid Over It supporters are marked in red and all stations that have held a music festival that Kat has performed at are marked with an asterisk. This will help people quickly find OI/Kat supporting stations as we want to make sure we don't miss requesting at current supporting stations and thanking them as well. I didn't include all the stations that have played Over It, but only those that spin it at least 50 times over the 4-month period. If I am missing any major supporting stations, please let me know. Just a note that I contacted all three of the Portland stations on the list, Doug...and (surprise) haven't heard a damn thing back from any of them. All I did was ask them if they had 'LS' in--plus to play it if they had it. As far as I know, they haven't played it yet. So here we go again with NW radio waiting to see what it does in other parts of the country before they bite. I'll let you know if they write me back tomorrow or this week... Also, I thought I'd mention that the link to Sheryl Stewart's email on The Buzz's contact info is now a dead link on the contact list site. Sheryl apparently isn't the program director anymore either (just a morning DJ). Because of that, here's the new link that takes you to 105.1 The Buzz's feedback page: 1051thebuzz.com/pages/360979.php The program director is Jeff McHugh now as you can see. In that select box, though, you can select Sheryl Stewart to request 'LS' in the mornings. Remember, SS is the one who got 'Over It' on the radio in Portland first. And this is a Hot AC station, which is where we all should try first. The Top 40 stations are even worse with sitting on their hands...among other things they sit on. All the other links to the two remaining important stations work fine. I wrote Bruce Murdock again at K103 where they play "everything." He told me he was a big Kat fan last January and would play 'OI' when they got it in. I don't think they ever played it that I'm aware. I reminded him of what he told me earlier this year...unless he's inexplicably changed his mind. I also wrote Z100 just to feel good about myself doing so. Of course I or many others likely won't hear back from one of those stations--but I just consider it a symbolic gesture...

I've never gotten any response form Sheryl Stewart at The Buzz or anyone at Z100 either, except an email from Shay Shay once saying I was the only one in Portland requesting Over It. I haven't gotten any response for Love Story even though I keep trying. Thank you Greg for the information about Sheryl.

Hey Gang, I have updated the Radio Request Support site Station Contacts Page. It now includes a column which details which stations have played Kat's singles (both current and past singles). Understanding which station's have played her current or past singles should help you become a more effective requester by providing you information to better "tailor" your request messages.
