I listened to them last night!!! Someone from IDF pmed me the songs. I listened to both of them twice!! I can't wait until my copy gets here!! I love I Lost You and Dangerous a lot. Dangerous is a great song that you can dance to. Both of them were great!!!

The songs are pretty amazing! (from one of the blog posts i saw) NEAT!! Dangerous has a very ’80s vibe to it. Reminds me of Michael Jackson for some reason. The OLD MJ, of course… After listening to it about 3-4 times now, I have to say they grow on you… very catchy. Even the ballad, although a bit dreary at the beginning, it gets better near the end. In my opinion, these two songs have a very theatrical feel to it. Especially Dangerous! It sounds like a suspense thriller almost… and you can almost imagine someone walking and trying to inform everybody that… “he’s dangerous!” I Lost You has a very strong beat and I am guessing this is her heartbeat since she’s all alone and upset. She does sound rather pained in the song too so at least it’s very emotive. In fact, she sounded like Jewel in some parts. In all honesty, I’ve never been able to imagine the storyline of any song so this is new to me. How theatrical. Let’s get it out there guys! Get the word out! Get the music out! Give Katharine McPhee the exposure she deserves! ‘Cos this CD single is sassy, sexy and definitely one of the best from an American Idol ever! The single comes out officially December 19, 2006 but it doesn’t mean we can’t cause a mad ruckus before that! Buy her single at Wal-Mart now! It’s currently a Wal-Mart exclusive … Oh yes, Christmas is coming up so give it away as gifts!! It’s a cheap but desireable gift. C’mon, let’s start jamming the radio stations with our request!

I love both songs equally. I think ILY would be very popular because most people can relate to it. Dangerous sounds extremely reminiscent of early Michael Jackson. Katharine's voice is great on both songs. An ideal scenario would be to release "Open Toes" or something upbeat in January. IMO it would be the perfect package before the CD comes out. Sort of something for everybody.

I love I Lost You. It's a great song. Really sweet. Dangerous is kind of a dance beat, but it seems like it's a mysterious song. I was wondering something as I was listening to Dangerous for the third time. lol. Does Katharine have back up singers because in Dangerous it doesn't sound like Kat in some parts.

I think "Dangerous" could be a great video with the proper choreography, such as early Janet Jackson/Paula Abdul. Katharine could carry that off and surpass any of the idols who also dance LOL.

Wow! What great songs! “Dangerous” is really catchy! That will surely be a hit. And to carry the commercialism of Wal-Mart a step further, I can hear that song as the background to television montages of things totally unrelated to Kat. Like football commercials! Crazy thing though, I still think I like the structure, beat, and tune of “Open Toes” better. I was surprised, let me even say disappointed (only a little), in “I Lost You.” It is not as strong vocally as I would have expected from Kat. Not only does she blast the oldies (“The Christmas Song” most recently), but she really hammers “The Voice Within,” “I Have Nothing,” and “I Believe I Can Fly.” Even the soft touch she puts on “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” makes you lean forward to listen to it. I find I’m easily distracted when I listen to “I Lost You.” But this is just picayune stuff. I will gladly pay to hear Katharine McPhee sing the phone book!!! And if everyone liked exactly the same thing, all artists would continually record just one song. My favorite tracks from Kelly Clarkson’s second CD are not an exact match to the ones they play on the radio. I don’t know anything about the trick plays the marketing folks at RCA (and the rest of the recording industry) engage in. But I think those copies that were sold were a break of the strict release date attached to CDs. The stores probably weren’t paying attention and just put them out. It wasn’t even on a Tuesday, which makes me suspect foul play or just carelessness. But it’s all good for us! We’ll just get the buzz going earlier! Gee, look how long this is. Gregoriancant must be wearing off on me! :>) To repeat: I will gladly pay to hear Katharine McPhee sing the phone book!!!

Thanks for the streaming on page 5! Made my day. Of course, I love both songs...they're perfect. But I really like "I Lost You" better. It's just that I can see Kat going in that direction more than the "Dangerous" vibe (pun...?LOL). Though either way, she's a sure winner. Can't wait for the music video!

I wasn't trying to attack your opinion Mattsie. I totally respect it and was just trying to express an oppossing view. I'm surprised most people here seem to favor Dangerous. Don't get me wrong, I love it but I love 'I Lost You' more and think it's superior song and that her voice really shines. It could also cross over to urban stations, if they'd be willing to play something from a white girl off American Idol. It would be cool if they could release Dangerous to Top 40 stations and "I Lost You" to R&B/urban stations...but that might be asking too much. Anyways, I'm really exicted now for the album!!!!!

While I love both of these tunes, I have to say that 'Open Toes' is more of an earworm than either of them, and would possibly stand a better chance at #1 on the Hot 100. I have no doubt that these two have really great chart potential though. My fav of the two (as of now) is 'I Lost You'. It's a very emotional, moving song, and Kat really sounds as if she's feeling every pain as she sings. Maybe she's channeling the feelings of an old lost love, but whatever the case, it's fantastic! 'Dangerous' has a great beat and a catchy tune, nice vocals and good production, but it's nowhere near the earworm of 'Open Toes' IMO.

You make a good point about Open Toes Bill but I truely think that song would either become a big hit or fail miserably. It could really go either way and that's awfully risky for a first single. Plus, it's about Open Toed shoes...sorry, I'm still having a difficult time wrapping my mind around that! It would be much safer as a later single, imo. Also, these songs have been getting a GREAT response around the internet which Open Toes did not. I know that's not indicative of what will be a hit but it's something to look at. I guess I can only speak for myself but I took to these songs VERY quickly and have been listening non-stop. I can't say that about the promosquad clips. In fact, they had me a bit worried. But no more worry! I think these are winners! Plus, I think the key for me is that they're much more mature. Both Open Toes and Over It sounded a bit radio disney to me....especially Over It but definitely the lyrics for Open Toes. This is much more what I expected from Kat and think it's more in the direction of what her image should and will be. Anyways, that's just my two cents. Hopefully, Kat or RCA will drop us a myspace message soon so we know if it's safe to purchase yet or still a street date violation. Maybe we'll also get some confirmation on whether one of these will be the first single. I swear, if they gave us these songs and then turn around and say Open Toes will be the first single, I'm going to......hurt someone, haha.

I didn't think I could STILL be this giddy a day after the songs leaked, but I was wrong! I also didn't think a person could grin all night long in his sleep, but I must have, cause my face is sore. I also woke with a sore throat, so I must have been singing too. No wonder my neighbors looked at me funny... they must have heard me singing about how the missile sank my love ship down. I'm so excited for Kat and the upcoming full CD. I love both songs, but I do favor "Dangerous" just because I can't stop hearing it in my head. The only small criticism I have is I wish it had more Katharine and less backup singers. But I can live with that
