When you all dial-in vote and get through, do you listen to the ENTIRE "Thanks for voting!" message before you hang up and dial again, or do you hang up as soon as you hear the message begin?

Do you know what I mean? I'm asking because I want to be sure all my votes are being counted and I'm not cancelling my vote by hanging up too early. I can explain it again if I'm not being clear.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. You do NOT need to listen to the whole message. As soon as you start to hear Kat's voice -- sorry to say this, but -- you need to hang up on her and dial again. Your vote WILL go through, and Kat won't mind.
