The other night my mom, sister, and 7 yr old niece were hanging out at my place. They too are fans of AI but my mom and sis haven't seen it much at all this year because they practice Tuesday nights for their vocal jazz group. Since I think Katharine is a great role model for my niece who loves to sing I thought I'd play some of Kat's performance videos for her on my computer, knowing full well that my mom and sister would here it and come running.

Now they had seen AAO/Black Horse and Elvis night and although my mom thought Kat was "good", my sister wasn't overly impressed. So I played them a few performances starting from the beggining with "God Bless the Child" which they had never heard before. Before it was even over my sister looked to me and said "OK, she can win". Haha, little did she know that she had just been "infected" with McPheever.

Next I played "Since I Fell For You" and I could tell they were digging it. After that I played "Think", and as soon as it was over my mom goes "That was hot". Haha, she's so cool.

Anyway I played a couple more for them which they definitely enjoyed. When we were done and I turned it off my mom said "That was really good". She would know, being a singer her whole life.

On a side note my niece is singing in a talent show next month and she needs a song that's no more than two minutes. Hmmm, I wonder where I'll find a song that's already arranged to be less than two minutes
