The site invites you to vote as many times as you like, so how can they complain about excessive voting? Don't worry about Katharine's travel arrangements as being problematic. The only time this could be a problem is if the events are scheduled in the same time slot. Katharine considers this as part of her job and seems content with flying across country as many times as is necessary. And IF she can'y make it on a certain date, there is always video acceptance of an award. Same effect.

OK...so she's going to "appear". This is in LA, right? Couldn't be? Could she do this in LA on Sunday night...get to Regis in NYC Monday morning...fly to Vegas Monday night the Billboards? Does she have a private jet accessible to her? How in the world is she going to pull this off? I hope she's got sleeping on planes down by now... Won't it be great when her CD comes out the next day! Oh, sorry. Nevermind. I'm sorry I'm just... If I can't have fun with it I'll drive myself batty about the whole thing.

^I just did a little searching on VH1.com--and found this press release statement about the show: "VH1 BIG IN '06 AWARDS" will tape at The Sony Stages in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 2 at 8PM* for air on Sunday, December 3, at 8PM* (all times ET/PT). This credential request form is for access to the arrivals area and the multbox room. Please note only one person per electronic outlet is allowed in the multbox room.* ____ So, as you can see...it actually tapes on 12/2 and airs the next day. That's unfair when they say it's "live" (well, maybe they didn't say that explicitly)--but we don't have to worry about Kat having red-eye flights that week. Kat's media appearances seem to be fairly well spaced out (no pun intended) so she doesn't have to hop from coast to coast in 24 hours. But you know that Kat doesn't have to own a private jet to hop around the country. Chartering a jet is fairly common with celebs--and beats having to lay out a cool billion to own one. Anyway, I'll step up the voting this week so we can make sure Kat at least gets nominated once if not twice. Though VH1 probably doesn't want to broadcast it widely, we'll obviously know the night before it airs whether she won or not. That is, unless VH1 threatens to shoot people if they give spoilers in the 24-hour waiting period. I don't think they have any association with 19 Entertainment who actually do shoot people if people spill the beans before airtime. Incidentally--I think most of these award shows are staying in Los Angeles now. It seems NYC is a hardship for some award shows in finding the proper venue. Ones produced in NYC always have a better energy though--and I always look forward to seeing ones done there. Edit: Tommy Lee's going to be at this one too? I think he's already following Kat around...

Oh, thanks Greg. So that makes sense then if it's being taped on Saturday, 12/2. She'll have plenty of time to get to NYC for Regis then. Good. That's an early morning for her...especially when she's winging back to Vegas for the Billboard awards.

If the press sees evidence that Kat's one of the most popular presences in pop culture, then we've truly done our Kat Pack duty here. Since this event is in Los Angeles--I assume some of our L.A. members will try to get in so we can get the report on whether Kat won on that Saturday night. Making people wait until the Sunday night broadcast would seem strange--though that's the uncontrollable nature of TV sometimes.

It has been reported that Katharine WILL attend this award show, because she has been nominated and because it IS an important event in the pop world. I don't think she expects to win and can you imagine how surprised and grateful she will be. Plus it is great promotion just prior to releasing her debut album. More eyes than we know will be on these results and WE CAN DO IT!!!
