I've been voting for the past few days and got in about 200 votes each day. I tried that program but it only worked once for me. Sigh. I saved the file and tried to run it again and it does nothing.

I just voted some more. Looks like America Ferrara got eliminated. Did everyone notice that we're voting for Katharine McPhee now! Instead of Katherine McPhee. THEY FIXED IT! YAY!

I have continued to vote every day and during the night. I use the program, but i also vote manually when I don't want to waste a macro for a short time period.

I'll download that program later--but I've been doing manual voting in the interim, which obviously adds up to very small at the moment...however amended soon. I think it's obvious that VH1 is smitten with Kat themselves...because they certainly aren't being subtle making Kat's pic bigger than the other two at the top of the page. No doubt they want her to win and are giving the subtle message that we should be voting our butts off for her. Also, my theory that people actually care about Ugly Betty was wrong. While some might relate to that character...people want Alluring Kat instead. Is everybody sure that voting program actually works? I've heard some stories of those type of programs being blocked by some websites to prevent bulk voting. How do we know they're all being counted by VH1? Nevertheless, I'll give it a try and see how it works. It must be working, even though manual voting for Kat might be strong too. If Kat wins this and Best Reality Star (probably more of a challenge there)--it'll be a great setup for possibly an association with VH1. I'd rather see her associate with them than hobnob with MTV. Though both have sort of the same type of programming at times...MTV ultimately feels edgier and ultimately grimier because of that.

About the program Greg, this is a post I amde on IDF when others expressed that same concern: I don't understand how the program can be detected. For those using it, they would know that all it does is "move the mouse for you." By all appearances, it seems you are voting yourself, just without moving your hand. I really don't see how it's possible to differentiate between that and manual voting. If you're using the program, you know what I mean. :teehee: Another note: It's not actually a "voting" program just a program that any sort of continuous tasks for you, via the mouse (that's why no one can use their computer while the program is running...the mouse is occupied.)

I agreee Jas, there's likely no way they can tell if you're using a program to vote. That's why sites that are serious about excluding 'bots' either make subtle random changes (like the voting order) or require the user to enter a string of randomly chosen letters or numbers. Then they 'distort' the text string to prevent even the most sophisticated 'bots' from recognizing the patterns.
