She just finished her first song, and it was iffy. I loved to see her having fun and dancing around, and it wasn't bad by any means, but it was an odd choice and the judges were here and there. After she finished and they were displaying the number she was like, "McPhans, Katpack." She was calling out to us! Do all that you can tonight!

Kat really didn't do very well tonight. The first song was pretty good, but the second one was really a let down. She did too much of the vocal acrobatics instead of just letting her silky smoothness shine. She has a tendency to overdo it like that. And it's so unnecessary. Her voice is amazing, and she doesn't have to try to sound like Christina Aguilera to prove it. I voted for 2 hours. She'll need it.

^you might say that but a lot of america doesn't really know technical singing... so when they hear a high note they think that the person is amazing. it wasn't her best night but i still thought she was awesome. miles better than chris and taylor. i feel so bad for her cause she looked so sad! *hugs to kat* <3

She was at a big disadvantage tonight because all of these songs were written for a male, probably one of the best male singers ever and I was worried about this week a lot. I actually thought the second song was good.

^well with simon saying that he thinks taylor and elliott will go on to the next round and chris being "the chosen one" of course i'm worried for kat!

She was underrated at least on the first song.  Simon is a complete arse.  His appraisalwas terrible.  Just mean -spirited and off-base.  I don't know what his motivation was, but it was uncalled for.

I loved the medley but nearly had a stroke when she forgot the words. I knew they'd pounce on that. Nobody's liked much of anything except Black Horse for several weeks now. Most of the time I think they've all got their heads up their armpits, but I suppose what they say does sway some people. And no, I don't think most of the viewing audience knows a lot about technical merit. They just know whether she stays on key and what their general impression of the performance is, and I think a lot of people probably enjoyed the medley as much as I did. I'm sure the audience did.

Diane,

Don't be so positive that she's going home. Remember what Simon said last week about Taylor's version of "Play That Funky Music..." was like a bad wedding performance. I agree, that Kat was at a disadvantage this week because of the Elvis songs but she has a strong fanbase here and I'm really hoping that we'll get her through to next week.

I had a heck of a time getting votes in, which was good, I suppose, so don't be too sure about her fate this week. This was the busiest second hour I've ever encountered. And yeah, it was both sweet and scary that she seemed to be both acknowledging the Phans and asking for support. Oh well, we do what we can.

Man .. it really is not fair ... the theme is really a big favor to the guys .... If they make it the Whitney week or something, the guys will tank their performances ....

I really am going to pray hard so that Kat will make it to the next round... 'cause I really know that Kat is a great great great singer and peformer! She really deserves to be in the Kodak Theater!

Early results from Dialidols show Chris by slight margin with Kat right behind him...They do not take into account the text messages where Katherine is to have an advantage
