As most of you already know, this is a crucial week for Miss McPhee in her quest for the AI crown. There are only four contestants left, and each has a very large fanbase that we will be competing against this Tuesday.
We all saw the fear in Kat's eyes at last Wednesday's results show, and I'm not sure about ya'll, but I never want to see her look that way again. Ever. There's only one way to return that beautiful smile to Katharine's face - VOTE! Since the first time we saw Kat walk into that audition room, both giddy and emotional, she has never failed to put a smile on our faces, and we should only hope to do the same for her. I can only imagine how happy she will be on May 24th if Ryan Seacrest announces, "The next American Idol is... Katharine McPhee!" McPhans, we are the only ones who can get her there!
Katharine gives her all on that stage every week for us, and now is our time to give back to her. She stands in front of three judges every week and boldly and gracefully takes citicism that most of us could never handle - much less on national television. Katharine and her mother also took the time to send us messages and pictures depsite Kat's hectic schuedule. But we must remember - No matter how bad she wants this and no matter how hard she works, we are the only ones who can get her to the Kodak Theater at the end of this month. Katharine has not failed us yet, and we cannot fail her now. We've gotten her this far! She's the last girl and the youngest contestant left standing! Her future is in our hands.
If we do not step up the voting this week, our lovely Katharine could be in danger. I'm sure everyone at KMF recognizes Kat's extraordinary amount of talent, but that alone is not enough to keep her in the competition. This Tuesday we will be fighting a sort of war against fans of the other three contestants. I ask one thing of you, McPhans; after the show on Tuesday, arm yourselves with a phone in each hand and prepare for battle. A short two hours out of our day is all it takes to thank Katharine for her graciousness and the entertainment she has provided us with.
Remember Cingular text messaging is the only way to get 100% of your votes through, but if you cannot text - rapid redialing for the entire two hours (with two phones!) will work, too. =) Recruiting new Kat fans will also be extrememly important in the next few weeks. Introduce your family and friends to Kat so they can help with the voting!Thank you for all of your work this far, McPhans. Katharine is lucky to have such a great support group, and I am confident that if we work hard and work together we can help to crown Katharine McPhee as the next American Idol. =)
