Hello, fellow Kat fans.  I'm so glad to see the McPheever growing, and this great k-fans site right along with it.  I lurk here a lot but haven't had anything worth posting for a while -- UNTIL NOW!

This post is a little long, and it's probably the top part you'll be most interested in, but read on if you like.  I am Vadia, another very happy Kat fan who's had the good fortune to hear back from her mom, Peisha!!!!!

Here's what Peisha wrote back to me:

Hi, Vadia.  i LOVE THAT  !! i'm so happy katharine is bringing you joy . i will show it to her , she will love it !! many thanks  for your love and support.

IN RESPONSE TO WHAT I WROTE:

Hello, Mrs. McPhee,
 
I was a little shy about sending this to you, but a couple of my fellow Kat  Pack members thought it might give you a chuckle, so  here it is.  By the  way,  I am a music teacher/songwriter/vocal arranger/mom from [--] California,  who is having so much fun being a Katharine fan. Your daughter has  generated so much positive energy and has banded many kind, intelligent,  musically savvy people together.  It's really so fun, and I wanted to say  thank you, and best of luck to you, Katharine, and the rest of your family.

WHICH WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THIS LITTLE DITTY I WROTE:

That's a funny parody of "The Brady Bunch" theme! New and improved, of course, to fit Kat and the "American Idol" competition! I'm happy that Peisha McPhee wrote you back in humble gratitude. Congrats!

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'm just such a big ole McGoofy Kat fan; I can't believe how fast my heart was beating when I saw the email back from Kat's mom. LOL. Anyway, you Kat fans are the absolute best; thanks for humoring me.

Vadia - I know the feeling. I sent a picture of my daughter sporting a McPheever t-shirt to Peisha, and when I saw her response in my Inbox...I honestly got butterflies...holy jeez.

Just a word of caution, especially to those who participate in several boards. All emails from the McPhee's should be kept in here and nowhere else. We do not want to get their family in trouble. This morning, there was a message posting in Kat's folder on the AI board by someone (he/she probably doesn't know the rule) with a title "Email from Katharine McPhee". Obviously, this is not the smartest way of posting the message.
