I was checking out the AI Odds article in the Latest News section.

What you have to understand about odds, is that odds are NOT who Vegas thinks are going to win. Odds are made to have equal betting on both sides.  The better a contest is(or perceived by the public), the lower the payout will be, therefore making people not bet on them as much.

So right now Vegas is saying, "More people are going to be betting on Chris, Ace and Katharine than any other, therefore we need to lower their payouts and increase the payouts of Kevin, Kinnik etc so people will take a chance on them instead".

Anyways, Katharine has a decent payout.  I'm not sure if like how the article encourages to bet at as many places as possible, but it definitely was an interesting read.

You're exactly right... the odds will fluctute based on the judges comments mostly. If you were going to place a bet on Katharine to win AI, now would be the time to do it. You'd risk about $100 to win $585. There also is an interesting bet as to will she make the top 4... risk $100 to win $138. One bet where Katharine is the heavy favorite is who will make it farther Katharine or Kellie Pickler.

Just like the stock market, buy low, sell high. This wouldn't be the week to bet on Chris Daughtry!

Last season the week prior to the finale Bo Bice had a great week and Clive Davis gave him all sorts of accolades. The odds on Carrie Underwood went through the roof. (I believe it was something like risk $100 to win $400) Anyone who watched the show faithfully knew that Carrie stood a great chance of winning because she had never been in the bottom 3
