from the KMF Concert Section, "Columbus OH Recap" An Elliott fan comments: KATHARINE: Columbus LOVES Kat! Great cheers, and good-natured love. Only two songs, with BLACK HORSE and OVER THE RAINBOW both pretty good. OTR is again, like MMFL, not a song that will find its future in stadiums. There were a ton of teenage girls in the audience and they just adored her. I�m still pretty much indifferent, but I think her detractors had better wake up to the fact that she is quite popular. If we see the vid of this--we'll need ear protection if it's 10,000 screaming teenage girls. It seems we're getting an influx now of 'Taylor Fan Says...' or 'Elliott Fan Finally Admits...' and it's exactly what I thought would happen once Kat got on the tour circuit. No longer is she veiled on TV through the misleading 'AI' role-playing madness. When you can see Kat live--and if you're lucky enough to backstage--the truth is all right there to wash away the previous misconceptions. Thanks, Minnie, for finding this. I hope we'll be seeing lots more of this type of thing from people outside the Kat Pack base--because it'll be a great way to determine if Kat's album really will go to #1. Though I'm fairly positive it would have regardless of what any of these people think now. These people seeing the light are just the extra whipped cream on the pie. There was already a sufficient amount (many unheard on these boards) of Kat fans out there that would have (and will) take her to #1...or at least Top Five. It's hard to say whether you can guarantee a #1. Nobody should say a #1 is a sure thing--no matter how great of an artist you are. You have to factor other variables such as competition (lots of other artists have releases that week) and what's going on in the world. From a logical thinking person, though, the overwhelming talent of Katharine should be highly understood by November. This tour is building buzz and definitive proof of that as we predicted. And that buzz will probably sustain from the end of the tour up to November 14--despite Kat undoubtedly not being visible in the media much between that time while she works on wrapping up the album. Then again, she's not being chained to the recording studio...

Anybody who got a good look at the Teen People cover and the TP and People and OK spreads is going to want her in/on their magazine. Those things are selling out fast for some reason.... I wonder what it could be... So I doubt she'll disappear entirely. And MAYBE if we're lucky she'll get on some talk shows where she can actually say something instead of disappearing behind three nonstop talkers like The View Ladies.
