When Ryan said one group was the top vote getters, of course one had to assume it was the one with Taylor in it.  However, I couldn't imagine that Elliott would have suddenly vaulted up there.  When Ryan set them down first, yet had not said that they were the top vote getters, I got this very strong feeling that it was going to be Katharine and Chris.  But here is the thing - last week, Chris was in the bottom three (or two, as we were made to believe).  To go from the bottom to the top in one week is miraculous.  It goes to show that the voters can never take a week off - NEVER.

 

When Ryan announced the top two for the week, did anyone catch Taylor's clearly unhappy face?  He didn't politely clap even, as I recall.  He has been on top since this thing started, and this week he was down to third (I would presume not fourth).

 

Why did Katharine get in the top two (note, Ryan didn't say which one had the most)?  Maybe she is picking up more votes from the fans of those voted out.  Maybe people are realizing that she is the real deal and their favorite isn't as good as they thought.  Maybe it was her costume.  As to Kellie's fans, I don't see them voting for Paris or Chris.  If they vote at all, and they like female singers, Katharine is it.  Guess we will see.

^yup, but hopefully some of Kellie's votes will go towards Kat... cause I know there are people who are fans of both and they may have been splitting their votes or something.


I've been surfing the Katharine boards on AmericanIdol.com all evening and I can definitely tell you that there is an exodus of new Katharine fans coming our way!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I was SO THINKING that Taylor and Elliot were the top 2 cuz they were sent back 1st. And then omgomgomgomg they said Kat and Chris had the highest # of votes.. I SCREAMED MY LUNGS OUT!!! This has been the best night ever!! Hopefully all of Kellies fans will switch support to Kat now!

hmmm, my ESP (N) is getting stronger again! i know it's still a little too early to tell, but Final 2 anyone? my predictions are getting less vague week after week! YAY!

i really think Kellie fans are going to join the Kat Pack! Kat fans and Kellie fans have a VERY good relationship, and have kept it tight! i mean, i liked Kellie first before i discovered Katharine, LOL. and im a Keeper of Kat and Kellie's freindship! ha ha!

OK Kat may be in the top 2 tonight so therefore Chris fans rallied for him after he was at the bottom 2 last week. Taylor fans are now going to Sould Patrol him heavily next week. So Kat fans, we need to be ready. Not only are we going to be against Chris' votes but now we have to contend against the votes coming in from the Soul Patrol. Be ready Kat fans. I'm going to James Bond Kellie's sites to see if I could get an incling if they are going to vote for Kat. Let's hope they become McPhicklers.

After a stellar performance last night, I knew Katharine would be in a comfortable position tonight, despite the negative comments. Tonight's show was off to a good start with the apology though. Great job voting and showing your support everyone! I know Kellie and Katharine will remain close friends long after tonight.

If Kellie fans do end up voting for Kat (which I know they will, but I don't want to jinx it!), it will be a natural result of Katharine being a genuinely nice person and befriending Kellie.  She could've been a diva, but she wasn't and she will reap the rewards of a being a kind person.

And almost as savory were the Simon and Randy apologies to Katharine for their Tuesday night comments! America has spoken!!!

MY PREDICTION --- Katharine's rendition of "I Have Nothing" will go down in AI archives as one of THE great performances!!!

Kat's on a roll now... we pick up a big percentage of Kellie fans and they become McFans... Finals night, HERE WE COME!!!

First of all Kitty, nice to meet another Kat fan! Second of all,  my prediction is always has been Katharine and Chris being the final two from the start and it will stay that way with Kat winning at the end.

And third, ITA with you. Now that sweet little Kellie got voted out. I also believe that the Kellie fans will come to our side and make the Kat pack ever stronger and push our girl to the title.  I truly Believe That!!!

I hope McPhans won't get too comfortable with Kat's placement this week. I know it's been said many times, but we have to vote like there's no tomorrow, each and every night that we are blessed to hear our Angel sing! Kat must know how very proud we are of her accomplishments!! In the words of Randy Jackson, "She's DA BOMB!!!"

To be honest, with the momentum she had gained for the past 2 weeks, I'm not surprised that she might be at the top in vote count last night. Ryan did not mention who but it's a high possibility that it's Kat. Why?

1. Chris' fan base did not really grow last week. He has an above average size fan base. And he did get some fans from Ace and Bucky. The reason he was at top 2 because he was at bottom 2 the previous week. That's a wakeup call to his fans and they voted extremely hard to bring him out of the bottom, just like what we did when Kat was in bottom 3. At the same time, the original top 2 (Taylor and Kellie) stumbled in their performance and had weakened their vote count. So Chris took the opportunity and climbed up.

2. The situation of Katharine is very different. She started with a smaller fan base (like us) and it's growing rapidly. After 2 consecutive weeks of top notch performance, her fan base suddenly expanded exponentially (see all the public polls and our own KMF membership). Because of Tuesday night's unfair comments, she even got all the sympathy votes from those who normally didn't vote for her. And don't forget our own efforts. Because of Tuesday's situation, I think the vote count of Kat fans alone was a record high. Combining all the above factors, do you think she couldn't beat Chris last night?

The advantage of Kat right now is that her fan base is still growing at a very fast pace. With the additonal help of Kellie fans and our own voting committment and dedication, now she has enough bullets to fight against Taylor and other contestants. I'm seeing a bright future for our girl. That being said, we should not be complacent, and we have to vote harder and more every week from now on. There is no easy task if we want to succeed.
