Wowww...Congrat Kat!!! I still couldn't believe she's really in the Top 2. Everybody underestimated her including myself.  Now, I feel like America punched Simon in the face, and kicked Randy in the asses.

IT WAS AWESOME! First of all, THE VERY MUCH DUE APOLOGY TO KATHARINE had to make her feel good, and then TO BE IN THE TOP 2 VOTES OF THE WEEK (and they said this week gained the highest # of votes of any non-finale show)! It was her night by a mile. The only downer for her is possibly that Kellie will no longer be there with her since they were such good friends, but I'm sure they can remain friends regardless. Katharine Fans, you did great! No wonder Katharine loves her fans so much! Way to go!

YES! Top 2, baby. Kellie was classy and mature, and I was a little sad she was leaving. She always brought comedic relief to the show. =) I'm sure all the Kellie fans will be proud (and they should be) because Kellie took it like a real trooper. Good luck to Kellie in the future from all of the McPhans. =)

Kellie went a long way on limited vocal talent and a charming character. She gets to go on the mini-tour....and her life has been changed for the better...not so bad...she was funny...I wish her luck...

True, a lot of Kellie fans seemed to show up in various Katharine forums. So maybe they will vote for Kellie's best friend now, Katharine. We know Kellie had a huge fan base and if even half her fans like Katharine and will vote for her, it could help put Katharine way a good deal ahead of Taylor and Chris, which are the only other 2 that worry me about being major competition for Katharine, because of their fans & voting.

I am a fan of Katharine and Kellie and on Kellie's site they had told us all they were worried about the dialidol votes not being counted so we were not using as much of the dial idol but guess we were wrong.. But Hey we still have Katharine in the running  .. She has my votes .... At the very beginning Katharine was my #1 pick then i fell in love with Kellie and it was a toss up between the 2 .. So now hats off to Katharine she will be the one to beat now i am sure as she has seen her best friend get voted off she will work all the harder to maintain her top 2 status.. Hugs Teresa

They have the site closed down right now i guess can't get it to even load.. But we had discussed the options and the site will still be open and there are a lot of folks that will be supporters for Kat now that Kellie has left... Of course I'm extremely happy that Katharine was in the top 2, but does anyone believe that Kat got so many votes because her fans and others were afraid for her safety? We don't want another Mandisa incident. Or even that the fans wanted to prove to the judges that they were wrong? We all know that the judges were overly harsh on her..Simon admitted it. Maybe even because Kat had a wardrobe malfunction and the horndogs decided to vote for her that night? I don't know, but I hope that you all and America continue to be in full force, voting as many times as possible. Our Kat is never safe, even if she was in the top 2, we have to remember this. Anyway, I hope that many of Kellie's fans will join us now too. Let us hope. <3

And just to clarify, I definitely think that Katharine deserves to be in the top of the running for American Idol. However, she has been near the middle of the pack each voting session..I was merely speculating as to why she has moved up in the rankings.

I think she got that many votes for a few reasons. #1 She finally sung a power ballad, and America is infatuated with power belting. #2 She gave a really powerful, dynamic performance- the only one of the night IMO, #3 She looked sexy, #4 America loves to hate Simon, so the backlash thing, and #5 She was so great in the clip with Andrea. Why shouldn't she be one of the top vote getters?

Congratulations Katharine - The KatPack loves you!

Wow, what a difference a day makes. Great performance last night. Needless to say your fans were more than a little upset with the rude comments some people made.  Now we're getting ready to make sure your run to the finish is always as joyous as tonight.

We'll miss Kellie but as the Highlander knows THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
