i've seen it in katharine all along. but last night there was something special. katharine is so much better than American Idol. her talent is far beyond what the producers of AI tie them down to do. the way she presents herself, the way she performs, they way she talks...everything about her is just so professional and respectable. she's very sophisticated also. all of her performances are amazing and she is 10 times better than everyone left in the competition. i cant really find the words to describe her. lol i sound so weird saying that but she's just so amazing! how do you describe someone as perfect as her?

Greetings katharinefan34! Yup, I thought there was something special there too. An extra spark, a fierceness, a laying down of the guantlet so to say. Someone said somewhere that this "Kat has claws" now. Yup, she certainly looked like a winner last night- and I think 30M people took notice too.

She definitely stepped it up a notch last night. I sincerely don't believe AI has ever had a total package like they have in the form of Miss Katharine McPhee this year. I've watched the show for most of its run over the 5 seasons and I've never seen a combination of vocals, looks, personality, stage presence, grace, professionlism, etc. all packaged into one performer like Katharine has. I don't know if she will win this year or what the agenda of the judges and producers are behind the scenes but I personally think it may be quite a while before we see another contestant that brings to the table all the things that she does.
