A new McPhan just posted this in the voting techniques thread, and it reminded me that I haven't gotten on the Cingular soapbox in quite some time. We are coming up to a critical 5 week period where competition is going to be intense and every vote must count. Anything we can do to add to Kat's vote total must done, including the great suggestions of using multiple phone lines and getting friends, families and even acquaintences to vote. But we need to do more! Cingular text message voting can add hundreds of votes per Kat fan. Just imagine if all 1000 of us here could text vote 250 times, that would give Kat an EXTRA QUARTER MILLION votes each week! Now I know that most of you don't have Cingular. But those that do, please consider using your cell phones to supplement your voting. And don't forget the friends and family that might have Cingular!

With all due respect, I'm no rocket scientist, but I beg to differ the "Rapid Redial" method. It's not even coming close to comparing to the "Multiple Text" method on voting quantity. I have 2 separate land lines and compared them to just 1 of my Cingular multiple text phones. With 1 person voting the 2 landlines, 1 person logging the number of votes, and me voting multiple text here's the outcome from Oklahoma. (and i take reception into consideration and that different areas have different landline switches that may be better than here)

2hrs. and 10 min. of "Rapid Redial" on 2 landlines = 67 votes
13 min. of "Multiple Text" on just 1 Cingular phone = 180 votes

 If you think about it what does it say on the landline votes. It says "Thank you for voting for contestant 7. Watch AI tommorrow on FOX sponsored in part by Cingular Wireless." I personally think NOTHING compares to MULTIPLE TEXT. Granted it does cost money to vote that way but it's all about the benjamins baby. Thats what makes the world go round and AI probably isn't doing the show just for funzies.
 How bad do you want to win??? You do the math.
I strongly suggest voters to discover for themselves which way suits them best. And I think some fans from the other contestants will try to "detour" the quanity of votes for Kat. It's probably the ones involved in the contestant bashing at some of the other websites. Just let it run off your back, don't let it bother you, and BE AWARE !
I highly doubt I could get in up to 5000 votes in 2+ hrs. here in Oklahoma on 2 separate landlines. But with TEXT votes i can do about 1500-2000 per phone. (x3 phones). I'm sticking to what works best for me, especially after I already went through all this last yr. voting for Carrie. Multiple Text is best in my area. Just vote QUANITY the best way you can any way you can.

I have Cinglar, and I do text votes. I also do the "rapid redial," though. I can't get too crazy with my text voting because my mommy pays my phone bill. 0=) Haha. But I do get in a couple of hundred every Tuesday night plus what I can get in by dialing on my cell phone and my moms. =)

Okay JADED, then I need to also remind people that Cingular offers 1 month of FREE UNLIMITED TEXT MESSAGES, if you just sign up for one of their text message plans starting at $4.99/month. If you already have a text message plan, you could change it to 2500 messages/mionth for only $20. And of course you can always cancel it after Kat wins!

Haha. Yes, I already have a 1,000 text plan (that I go over on all the time even when I'm not voting for AI). =) I'd love to switch to the 2,500 plan and use every vote to vote for Kat, but I'm not sure how my mom would feel about that. =) Haha. I wonder if there's any way I could cancel my text plan and then start it back up and still get the unlimited texts for signing up. Is that cheating? Haha.

....Let me add that Cingular tells me any Cingular customers here in Florida can add a text messaging plan for as little as $2.99/mo, which will allow them UNLIMITED text messages, if they're in the middle of their billing cycle (as they think will be the case for most existing Cingular customers), FOR THE BALANCE OF THEIR CURRENT BILLING CYCLE, AND THEIR NEXT BILLING CYCLE AS WELL, WHICH IN MANY IF NOT MOST CASES WILL BE UNTIL AFTER THE FINALS AT THE KODAK THEATER!!! (After this, you can cancel your $2.99/mo text messaging plan at no penalty, if you want.)
