Other than the cardiac arrest that Fox gave me, it has been a great night.

At first I thought that was an absolutely TERRIBLE thing to do to Taylor. Then when he did his little hesitation waltz between groups I started thinking it looked a bit contrived. We'll never know. The important thing is that Katharine was in the right group. But I think we saw proof positive that standing has nothing to do with what kind of performance someone gives on any given night. Not at this point in the contest. It has to do with how rabid and organized the fan base is. Make that "dedicated," I don't think we're all foaming at the mouth... ? Bleeding from the fingers maybe.

Not surprised that Katharine will be singing next week.  Great job KMF!  She is going to shine again - I am so excited to see her performance.  How amazing it is for the remaining contestants to work with Andrea Bocelli.  I bet he'll think Katharine is fabulous.

Also note that dialidol.com was "spot on" with the prediction of the bottom 3 this week. And also probably with Taylor as #1.

We need for everyone to call and vote for Katharine again next week for the full 2 hours again. Don't stop until we get to the Kodak Theater for the finale on May 23rd and 24th, and we want Katharine to win.

....but were Chris, Paris & Ace REALLY the bottom 3!?!  I strongly suspect AI may be guilty of not only a bit of contriving (as you say, groucho), but outright chicanery! My guess is that the two groups of 3 (Kat, Kellie & Ace the 2nd group) were "mixed rather than matched" as regards voting results.

 

But hey, this is Hollyweird, right? ....where dramatic license is taken routinely. But I have to admit it rattled even my 'techno-weenie's' steel nerves ...and got lots more juices flowing than if they'd played it straight. 

 

And I immediately forgave AI's producers when Ryan announced that Andrea Bocelli will be the coach (& his work the source material) for next week!  AWESOME! -- JUST WHEN I THOUGHT ROD STEWART COULDN'T BE TOPPED THE AI TEAM MADE ME FEEL LIKE A DUNCE!!!

 

KATHARINE SHOULD BE CROWNED "QUEEN OF

THE UNIVERSE" AFTER PERFORMING BOCELLI!!!

She should, but, we have another 5 weeks to go, and anything can happen. There have been some major shockers over the years, such as, Tamyra Gray's shocking elimination in season 1, Jennifer Hudson, one of the best singers in season 3, sent home, and last year, fan favorite Constantine Maroulis' first trip to the bottom 3, and was sent home.

^Yes, I really do believe that Ace, Chris & Paris were the bottom 3, and Taylor was #1. Taylor and Kellie have HUGE fan bases, and Elliott did pretty well this week. And, well, someone has to be in the bottom3!

I also think those were the real bottom three. It is like Chris and Elliott have flipped positions in the voting. Elliott has done better the pst two weeks, while I think Chris has lost momentum. I think no one wants to hear Chris sing a ballad and they are getting tired of his one-trick-pony act.

Tayler didn't hesitate; he went over and shook hands with Chris and then went to what he felt was the top group. When Katharine was placed in the opposite group as Ace, I knew she had to be in the safe group. Tonight was one of the least nerve-wracking results shows so far for me. From now on, however, picking the bottom three is going to get very hard. You could say that Paris will probably go next, but given that all but Tayler and Kellie have been in the bottom three, no one is safe, given Kellie's recent performance, except maybe Tayler.

Tonight was one of the least nerve-wracking results shows so far for me.


Haha. Every show is nerve racking for me. I swear one of these nights those producers are going to send me on a trip to the hospital from a heart attack. =) My mom always laughs at me, and every time I have to yell at her that "This is not a laughing matter!!!" =)

Everyone show your friends Kat videos so they'll vote next week! It worked for me. 5 of my friends caught the McPheever IN ONE DAY! =)

Hats off to you, Ivegotmcpheever & bcollan! I just checked the replay, and Ryan DID say the group of Chris, Paris & Ace were "the bottom three group"! Taylor's "little hesitation waltz between groups", as goucho called it above, also looked to me at first like it might be contrived, and that may have thrown me off. I checked the dialidol.com results earlier today too, but I guess I'm still not convinced they're 100% reliable.

 

The main thing is our gal's momentum is OK, & we can accelerate it lots more by....

 

VOTING McPHEEVERISHLY EVERY TUES!

 

(and emailing/phoning/talking to all our families & friends before then to ask them to do the same)
