Really nice to hear that. But sure now everyone put a higher expectation on her performance tonight. Just hope she won't feel the pressure.

Everyone knows this is Kat's week to shine (although she shines every week!), and I'm sure she will exceed expectations.
And *it is* certainly nice to see one of the guest stars quoted complimenting Kat. I wonder if AI will air Rod's comment tonight?

This thread is so encouraging! I couldn't resist going to the ET site to see everything Rod said in context (on video playback). It's transcribed here just as he said it:

Rod wound up saying, “They (referring to all 7 contestants) all did their own versions (of the standards) beautifully – I cannot criticize any one of them”, but he made specific comments for only 3 of the 7.....

“For this category (tonite’s songs), I think Katharine was probably the best. I hope that doesn’t jinx her in any way, but she has a voice that was born to sing standards.”

He finished by saying, “Paris is very good too ....Kelly was a little hesitant – she’s not too familiar with these songs.”

                          

              WOW! -- MY RE-DIALING SPEED JUST TRIPLED!!!

This really is a good category for Kat...you're right...they'll be higher expectations but she has a higher capacity to deliver..the pressure builds every week...she'll handle it well...

I expect Taylor, Elliott, Paris and  should O.K....not sure how Chris, Kellie or Ace will handle the category.

I know that Kat will be the best tonight. But we can't let this stop us from voting no matter how amazing she will be, and no matter what the judges say! Guys, remember... when Anwar Robinson and Jennifer Hudson got voted off before (*pattern*), they all did GREAT. We cannot be complacent and not vote for her... let's break the pattern and show the world that Kat is number 1. If we work together, I really do believe that we can do this.
