Hey guys. . . I've been thinking. . . We are all gathered here in KMF as one big happy family right? The McPhans, The McPhaNation. . . .  We share the same interest, which is none other than the lovely Miss Katharine McPhee. . . We support her and would really love to see her become the next American Idol. . .

And as I've mentioned, I've been thinking. . . What if Miss Katharine gets eliminated before she becomes the next AI (not that I want that to ever happen, and I hope it won't ever happen), or what if she does become the next AI, what's going to happen to KMF? Would we still be one big happy family?

Because I really don't want us to stop being one big happy family after AI ends. .  I want us to stay in touch with each other, here in KMF, even after Miss Katharine becomes the next AI. . . Perhaps we could discuss about her career after AI? Or maybe her album? Her life in the future? etc. . .

Do you guys agree with me?  What do you think?

Well, as I said, it's just a thought. . .

When Idol is over, one way or another, and there won't be a weekly "gathering place" where mcPhans can be sure of seeing Katharine, it will be more important than ever, for us, to have a place to go where we can find information on her comings and goings, etc. Since she's aware of this site and the whole family seems to be interacting and cooperating, this could always be a good place to find out the latest McNews. (Good grief, I've picked up this irritating McTic and everything is coming out funny... ) In fact, it might be good to have periodic projects like the Postcard Project, etc., just to let her know we're still here and interested and would really appreciate advance info on stuff like when and where she will be appearing in person, in movies and tv, CD's coming out, or whatever. She's not going to just disappear after Idol and it's always good to have advance notice of things.

No matter what happens with AI, I am quite confident that Kat will have a recording deal, probably be in movies, TV, on Broadway, on tons of magazine covers, etc. And yeah, true, look at Carriefans, Carrie won Best Female Video on the CMT Awars (she was in a category with Faith Hill, Sara Evans, and Miranda Lambert) because it was voted on by fans. When Carrie got on stage she said "I have the best fans!" We want Kat to be able to say that even after Idol, too, right? =)

I plan on being right here until they turn the lights out on me and have the bouncer throw my big arse out the door !!!!
Not only do I like Kat that much, but I like to read everyone's thoughts. Personally, I thought that NBC should have hired Katharine as Katie Couric's replacement on the Today Show...that way we could wake up with her every morning..:o)

I come here for Katharine McPhee, not American Idol. It doesn't matter if she wins or not. As long as she is the focal point of the site, I'm in. I'm treating this site as her home, and I'm waiting for her to come home after AI. Isn't it nice if she can participate here and join us chatting in the forums? My ultimate goal is to have a chance to know her personally. I hope it comes true.

For the time being Katharine is not allowed to contribute to forums. I believe that the connection KMF has with her and her family puts KMF in the best position possible if she ever decides she wants to. Until then, just keep doing what you are doing. Contributing to her success and supporting her is KMF's lone goal, and I believe all of you have played a large role in that.

I like this message board. I lurked around others and decided that this is the most sensible board there is. With that said, I decided to join. It will be the only Katharine McPhee fansite that I will join ever and I hope to become friends with all of you. Maybe we will all go as a group and watch Katharine at the AI concert. A united front. Imagine how happy it would make her to see a group of fans at every city (I am sure we have members all over the US that could organize a group to go at each City).

Thank you for the organizers of this board. This will be a wild ride.
