There's a fine line in there somewhere between using what ya got and flaunting it. "Do You Think I'm Sexy" might be over the top... kinda like Albert Einstein asking "Do you think I'm intelligent?" (Does the Pope sleep in the woods? Are bears Catholic? No, wait a minute...)

The songs would be from the Great American Songbook volumes i guess...which make me think, why they dont name it "American Songbook night" intead of "Rod Stewart night"?? I think there would be a lot of version to the songs.
I'd love to hear Kat sing My Funny Valentine fully. I think she sang it well during the audition.

Kat will do great this week this is exactly her style.  If that is the song list, I hope she does Blue Moon, Blue Skys or even My Funny Valentine.

I heard from my local radio about the possible song choices that the idols would do next week. Maggie Mae and Do Ya Think I'm sexy are ones of them. I couldn't catched the whole thing cuz I was driving and my friend was with me.  The more I think about it, I think Taylor will be the one who does DYTIS haha. He actually could do it very well, and have a chance to steal the show too.

I really hope Kat will stay away from My Funny Valentine and have fun this week.  Even though I really like her WWTLF which made me believe she can do an Evanescence kind of album, My Funny Valentine isn't a good follow up song from last week. It's a good song for the audition, but not on the AI stage. However, since I'm no expert, so I'm gonna stop now.  I hope she'll pick the right song and knock it out the park.  It's the crunch time, she can make no mistakes.  Good luck Kat. I'm looking forward to your performance this week.

I really think that if Kat will beat Kellie easily if she can just pick the songs Kellie most likely do. Kat can beat her by just playing Kellie's game.  

I hope Kat picks the song that the audience wants to hear, not the song that she wants to sing.  I'm not gonna lie. I'm really nervous about her song choice esp. this week. She can't let the opportunity slip away anymore.

She doesn't have to do contemporary to have a jazzy, upbeat song. A lot of the stuff on the RS American standards would do just fine. I agree, though, something a lot more up-tempo than Funny Valentine. Lately every time I try to think of "Come Rain or Come Shine" it comes out "Cry Me A River." Something in me must secretly want to hear her sing that. That's not exactly a cheerful song, but it's something a good singer could put a lot of personality and pizzazz into if they wanted to.
