The first thing that came to my mind was "Come Rain or Come Shine," which is a classic and i've always loved it, and the way she did it on the air was... what's that line about "fogged up my goggles and buckled my knees" ? And I'd love to hear her do "All That Jazz" from Chicago. That's a rip-snorter for a good jazz/blues belter. I'm sure I'll think of more later. Anyone else?

Ah I must agree with "All that Jazz" she would do perfect.

I already can imagine what her first CD would be.... and i cant wait to listen to her (future) original songs... hehe

Yeah, I don't know what I want to hear on her first CD. "Come Rain Or Come Shine" would be nice, with less of that evil brass. But I dunno, I've already replayed this song so many times. I've replayed all of them.

**sigh** I never know what you guys are talking about with all the song titles and artists you bring up. Am I really that secluded from popular music?

I'm really curious to hear some songs she writes herself. I hope she writes all of her own music in the future. In the beginning, I simply thought: "Okay, maybe she's just better for Broadway... I can't imagine her writing her own songs that will be heard on the radio." But now I reeeeeally hope she does... I think she has the brains to write some great lyrics, not to mention awesome music.

I'd like to hear all her Idol performances on one CD, but I would also like to see her do something like Wynonna's " What It Takes". Wynonna Judd is a very bluesy, country singer. I think she's great, and I'm not into country music. If Kat does what SHE likes to do, she will do well. I'm gonna buy whatever she does anyway. I'll buy a hundred CD's and give them to all my friends, cause I would want them to feel the McPheever. Kat's voice is so special, I really think whatever she does is going to be spectacular!

  Oh, I can think of some great songs that would be perfect for Katharine!  I agree with "All That Jazz" and  "Come Rain Or Come Shine". Also, "Until You Come Back To Me', of course. How about "Fever" (that's a natural!), "Blues In the Night",  and "Cry Me A River"? Those are certainly standards. More contemporary choices might include Katie Melua's "Closest Thing To Crazy" and Melissa Errico's "As Long As I Have You". (I'd say that they are the two current artists with styles most similar to Katharine's.)

   And I agree that I'd like to hear Katharine write some of her own material, too!

I personally hope she will do Since I Fell For You. It's her best vocal performance. Until You Come Back To Me is my second favourite.
