Just a suggestion to anyone who can get into aol--if you can stand wading through all the stuff, visit their Idol forum and inject some positive feedback into some of the "McSnob" posts. I haven't a clue what Katharine is really like, since I don't know her, have never met her, and just discovered her a few weeks ago on AI and was totally taken by her screen persona. Since I have a tendency to protect anyone I'm irrationally fond of, I enjoy talking back to some of the people whose posts go beyond the pale. As you all probably know, there's just something about the blessed anonymity of an internet screenname that brings out the worst in some people.

I personally wouldn't waste my time arguing with these people. They obviously resent Kat because she is from a well to do family in suburban CA, rather than a poor girl from a small town. That's descrimination that has nothing to do with her great talent, enthralling stage presence or sweet, spontaneous and sometimes endearingly goofy personality.
