Fox tried their hardest to make McPhaNation have a heart attack, but Katharine made it to the elite 8.  Congratualtions to her, and thanks to all the McPhans for voting for her.   HOWEVER, this is not over.  We need to continue to vote like we did Tuesday night.

I'm so happy.  I was convinced when I saw her in the same group with Ace and Bucky that she was in the bottom 3.  I was dying during the commercial break before she was safe.  I'm so happy to have found so many people who love Katharine like I do.  We gotta keep the voting strong again next week.

Queen should be interesting next week.

I noticed that, too. I think all the support and reaching out of fans this past week pledging our unwavering voting devotion got to her from the many messages her mother received-- so I think she probably had more confidence that she would NOT be voted into the bottom 3 tonight. Dialidol's prediction was exactly on note this week in terms of the bottom 3: it showed Paris, Elliott, then Mandisa. I do feel badly that Mandisa was sent packing so soon. I think it shocked Katharine (by the look on her face) and everyone else too. I know Mandisa will succeed somewhere, though. We have to keep competing with the apparently enormous fan bases of people like Chris and Taylor. It continues to be all for Katharine! We can't let one single week slip!

Katharine also looked extremely comfortable and relaxed out there yesterday. She looked like she was having fun, more fun than we've seen her have since "Think". It seems that all the fan support she received last week hit home.
Now we need to keep it up for 7 more weeks!

Glad to see she made it through another week. I so hope she can make it to the finals but I do have a fear that she is going to have a awfully tough time outlasting Kellie on the girl's side of things. My daughter who is 13 and all her friends just love Kellie and I asked her why more don't like Katharine instead. I told her that in my opinion Katharine looks better and sounds much better than Kellie and Kat has such a charming personality. However, the kids really go for the cornball thing Kellie has going. She's like a country version of Jessica "is this chicken or tuna" Simpson and the kids are voting for her like crazy. Also, Chris and Taylor both have huge followings as well but for me there is none of the bunch I would rather hear sing or look at than Katharine. I've made an audio CD of her performances so far on Idol and I enjoy listening to it regularly.

I'm on aol so I visit their Idol forum now and then, and it seems what we call confidence they consider snobbery and have a lot to say about it. I'm a total novice to AI and am only still watching because Katharine caught my eye (and ear) and just knocked me out and then I got caught up in the whole dang thing. (Excuse me, does that sound too picklerish?) I don't know if any show biz movers and shakers monitor these things or not, but I know the whole business tunes in to places like the imdb (Internet Movie Database) so I try to support people I like over there. I've started posting a bit on the aol Idol forum because I've noticed that people tend to get really vicious over there and I consider it injecting a bit of balance.

Well, all of us adults here are just going to have to make up for the tweeny vote! We're bigger and stronger and we pay the phone bills. And, of course, you could also ground her.
If my 14 year old threatened to vote for Kellie, I'd have to revoke her Hollister shopping privilidges.
Luckily she's OK with Dad tying up the phones voting for Kat.

Well, actually my daughter was a little irritated with me the other night for tying up the phone lines voting for Kat and her not being able to vote for Pickler but she'll get over it. I mean it is , like you said, my money paying the phone bills anyway. She hasn't been too worried about it though since so far Kellie has not really been in any jeopardy of being voted off.

I believe that Kellie will make it to the Final Four: Kat,Taylor,Chris & Kellie. Then it'll get hairy. We'll need every vote we can muster in those final weeks, 'cause Taylor, Chris & Kellie have giant fan bases. Hopefully Kellie will go first, then I feel sure Kat will pick up most of her fans.

Hello Everyone...I am new here. In fact this is my very first post. I have been lurking around for weeks now trying to decide whether I should join or not and what impressed me about this message board is that we have adults running the show and posting. Also, that Kat and her mom knows about this board. So....I feel much more comfortable. I could no longer resist so I decided to join.

I wanted to reply to this thread by saying that this week was a great week for Kat because all her fans solidly backed her up and showed her support. We need to do this over and over again till the end. Like someone said, vote till your fingers bleed. Let's use our parental powers over our children. Mum their voices and kick the Pickler out of AI...LOL!!!

If what you say comes true - and I do agree with you - we must think of a way to pull votes from those that get cut along the way.  Bucky's votes will probably go to Pickler. I think Ace's will go to Katharine and Pickler, but more so Katharine because the younger vote loves the idea of Ace and Kat together.  I myself am not too fond of the idea, but whatever.  So Paris and Elliott's are the wild card.  What do yall think?

In any case, there shall be no bashing of any contestant.  Katharine needs their fans' votes.  When I say bashing, I mean vulgarness.  "Mandisa was terrible tonight" is not bashing.  It is an opinion (and the truth this past week  ).  However, saying "Pickler is a retard" or something like that, is bashing.  Remember, her and Kat are friends, and Katharine will need those votes.

I guess Mandisa's votes will most likely go to Paris... since they are similar type of singers.

So disappointed to see her go... now no one is safe except the top 3. McPhans need to vote hard and hard for Katharine every week. I seriously can't afford another shocker...

Whew, Chad you're dream has come true.. Kat with boots and mini skirt, congratulations..!! (although she doesn't sing Jet's "Are you gonna be my girl").

I was sooooo... nervous about this result show, the grouping was unbelievable.. I was rooting for Elliot too, I think he was good yesterday. But if I have too choose, and -you know what- I don't have too choose, its gonna be Kat all the way!! So.. When its was down to two groups, I was like WHAAAAT! I was about too change channel if Ryan says Kat is in the bottom three again, I mean Bucky is not the strongest singer (but its country night so..), Ace is too preety.. that face causes distraction of all the songs that he sings LOL (Hey, you guys see The Soup on E! There were a scene from Ace's live on AI, the comment was so funny, it was compared with Constantine artistic act LOL).

Anyway.. I'm sooooo glad Kat is safe..!! Wohooo!!
