"Katharine will be performing with Andrea Bocelli at his three California dates on June 9,10, 11 in Sacramento, San Jose, and the Hollywood Bowl.

She was in David Foster's Malibu studio today recording SWOTR for her single!"

That is SO amazing Rhine!!! From rumours to reality almost overnight. Recording with Foster could be really great for Kat. Maybe he'll produce her album too! And I know getting SOTR on the single will make her fans SO happy. It shows that they are serious about marketing Kat and why shouldn't they be? I predict that with SOTR on the single, Kat will have the biggest selling single in AI history. And appearing with Andrea! WOW. I just wish it could be on the EAST coast.

I agree  b...Bocelli and Foster can choose to work with virtually any performer in the world...and they chose Kat?!...that's too much...

I hope this is true but there is a very good chance it is just a rumour. There is nothing official - just someones post of a rmour on the notorious AI boards. On the other hand, Kats will release SOTR eventually, and will sing/record with Bocelli eventually too, so it maybe just be a little bit optimistic. Isn't the AI top 12 tour on for June? The schedule looks grueling, 3 - 4 concerts a week.

Ebay will probably have some--before they get reported as being bootlegs.

The 'AI' board deleted this news from the board tonight--because they probably don't realize that the legit news source is from close associates of the family. But because it doesn't give a 'news' link, then they won't post it until it's a mainstream story. Thank God for this place so we can at least make comment before it becomes mainstream.

I found this to be big-deal news--considering the touchiness of the 'AI' contract. But because Foster and Bocelli had an association with the show, there probably was a deal made of some sort. Doing limited engagement performances are the best kind of options when you have other things going on. Kat could even do that with Broadway eventually. It could be she's doing those performances with Bocelli for free so it can be said she's not 'working' outside of the 'AI' contract. I'm sure she'd be willing to perform those dates for free just to get the publicity and thrilling experience performing with him...at the Hollywood Bowl no less! Wouldn't you if you had the chance to do that for only three days?

Kat recording 'SOTR' with Foster at his Malibu studio is a bit of a mystery--though it could be a demo to see how well Kat does in the studio before he takes her on as producer next year. Or, it could be a track he'll produce on an album SHE wants to make as her second project. I knew the first would be a creative sacrifice, so we'll have to wait for the things we really want to hear from her. And David Foster will know how to make a record like that work...as long as he doesn't mettle with doing his own contrived arrangements.

If Kat sticks around DF's Malibu studio, she'll probably meet his other star clients such as Josh Groban, Michael Buble or Renee Olstead. And if Kat works under Foster, it's likely she'd do at least one duet with either one of those artists eventually.

Isn't it entirely possible that word has trickled down how disappointed McPhans are that SOTR was not on the single, and that RCA is going to redo it, perhaps adding SOTR as a THIRD track?

I don't think it's that divorced from possibility, if they think it will make them enough money for it to be worth it (which is almost certain). After all, the original post did say "single."

If not, I'm sure it would go on the album, and we'd have it by Christmas anyway.

It was SO evident from the clips during the show that both David Foster and Andrea Bocelli believed Kat was the most talented. I mean, Foster said that she would have a very, very, very bright future. That's THREE 'verys'. None of the others got even one 'very'!

I'm not sure AI realizes just what a hot property they have with Kat. She is so far above anything they have had to deal with before. Keeping her in the Idol box is going to be difficult and in the end will work against their best interests (Making money!). Anything that Kat does before the tour is just going to be great publicity for the tour. I'm betting that because of Kat, this is going to be the most successfull Idol tour ever. There are a huge number of people like me who only watched AI because of Kat. One glimpse of her was enough to be hooked. We know that Kat is going to steal the show! Just like IMO she stole the finale. Can you imagine that finale without the grace and beauty and magnetic presence of Kat? No offence, but can you imagine it with Chris or Elliot in the second position? :p I believe that this has been the most successfill Idol season ever as far as number of viewers go. And I think we can put the blame for this squarely on Kat.

Pheenomenon is right on the money here in my opinion. Kat made the finale come alive! I'm dying to get my hands on a
DVD of that entire show, it was fantastic! I wonder how long it will be before I can buy one...

I agree and would also LOVE to have a copy of the finale on DVD! Katharine definitely set off the spark making the finale come alive, with her radiant beauty and vocals. The beautiful gowns were designed to fit to perfection!! What a beauty!!!!!!!

No more word on the Bocelli story? There is nothing at all on the internet about it. I phoned the ticket company here http://www.totaltickets.com/Ticket_Search.php?ev=Andrea%20Bocelli and they deny even having heard a rumour of it. If it is true then it is a really well kept secret!

wow...isn't this breaking some rules? but anyway, everyone knows that AI cannot possibly lock Katharine up inside the AI bubble. she's soooo much better than the whole competition altogether! whether this news is true or not, Kat is way over that rainbow...with all the happy little blue birds! because she can and will definitely fly!!!

I believe Katharine recording SOTR but not for her single. The cover is already out and it clealry says 'My Destiny' and 'Think.'

Really mixed signals...Kat just stated flat-out, explicitly on Fox and Friends that SOTR is on the "single" with "My Destiny."
