Someone on IDF just got a message from Toni, it is from the new Barbie Movie that Mattell is producing and will be available on iTunes shortly! It is called Connected.

I was glad to find out about this. Having a video of her singing "connected" for a new Barbie movie and working with Room for Two on it, is pretty fantastic! I'm glad she is keeping all of these different things going!

This is obviously incorrect, since Columbia Records is under the BMG umbrella along with RCA. That blogger has now changed it to read "Warner Records", but there is still no confitmation of Kat signing there. My take on it is that if Kat actually signed, she would announce it. Maybe she wants to present them with some strong finished tracks to bolster her bargaining position.

Bill-Thank's for making me triple check my posts.David's label own label -143-is afillated with Warner record's.Reprise record's,and Atlantic record's.The latter are under Warner's Umbrella.Josh Groban and Michael Buble fall under the Reprise label.

Mattel signs ex-Hear'Say star to boost Barbie brand

Mattel has signed reality TV star Suzanne Shaw as a brand ambassador for its Barbie range.

The former Hear'Say popstar will sing the title track Connected for the animated movie Barbie & The Diamond Castle, which will be released later this year.

Shaw will also help promote the film and will appear on an interactive DVD of songs, which will be available through on-pack promotions.

I believe that this is just for the UK market. She is unknown here and the marketing firm mentioned in the article is from the UK. I think they are doing a different version based on the market they are selling to.

Speaking of where people have fans... I just happened to look at the map at the bottom of the page that shows where all the Katfans are, and there are lights everywhere except the Amazon jungle, the Sahara Desert, and the Russian tundra. And who knows, there might even be a few fans lurking out there amidst the anacondas, sand fleas and wandering moose herds... they just can't find anyplace to plug in their computers.
