Elliott Yamin's mother died yesterday     Is there any way as a fan site we can send condolences? I don't know how to go about that so maybe one of our resident whiz kids can help?!  Here is a link to an article...

Yes, I just read about it, as well. She seemed to be a warm and lovely person. It would be nice to be able to convey our condolences to Elliott. I'm sure he is shattered. They seemed to be extremely close.

I hadn't heard this--and I'm very sad to hear it, because...well, we all know why due to her extreme support and sacrifice toward Elliot's career back in Season Five.

Thanks for the news--and let's hope "AI" reflects it tonight. It somewhat appeared when his mother was in the audience that she perhaps wasn't well. I can only imagine EY's thoughts about now, especially when they showed him last week breaking up at having that African child named after him. It's at least great his mother lived to see that and his recording success...

Oh my, now that's terrible news!

I'll look into putting together a KMF condolence package, maybe flowers or a donation to charity if you guys would like to do that. What are your thoughts?

Checked one of Eliott's fansite and saw this posting.

"According to a post by a family friend on the official Elliott Yamin forum, she passed away peacefully and ask in lieu of sending flowers, that donations be sent to the local chapter of the Richmond JDRF."

Count me in Bill.  Sorry to hear this sad news.

Faithful to Elliott and to finding a cure, Claudette and the Yamin family left a message on Elliott's website [http://www.etrainstation.com/] asked that in lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Central Virginia chapter.  In this way and many others, her legacy will live on.  We extend our deepest sympathies to the family.  If you would like to make a donation to JDRF in Claudette's honor, please contact Alicia Arce at 804-254-8014.
