What I noticed with Kellie's AI appearance was she was given a promo clip before performing. Had to laugh, before the promo clip, Ryan remarking how Kellie has grown in many way since her appearance onf AI. Was he referring to her success in sales, touring opportunites, or was he referring to something else. Thought she was cute & enjoyed her performance.
Just wished Kat was given a promo clip before singing.

Goody, you made me stop to think with your memory of "You Light Up My Life". I think that that was actually sung by Debbie Boone (a daughter of Pat Boone) and the song won the Academy Award that year (late 1970's).
However, you were in the right "church" as Debbie Gibson, the "Original Pop Princess" exploded on to the pop music scene at the age of 16. An entertainment prodigy, Deborah became the youngest person ever to write, produce, and perform the number one single, "Foolish Beat”, a record she holds to this day in the Guinness Book of World Records. Among Deborah’s many impressive career achievements include her album Electric Youth which soared to #1 on the pop charts and her #1 hit single "Lost In Your Eyes". Debbie Gibson has been performing on Broadway, writing musicals for Broadway and is now recording a new album. She has a 3 week engagment coming up at Harrah's in Atlantic City. She also has founded an Alzheimers Charity in honor of her grandfather.
Just goes to show that there are many avenues to walk in the music entertainment industry. Katharine will do well and even though it's hard to not hear much current news, now that the Idol appearance is over, I still believe that there will be exiting things coming in this year.
