Between performing Over the Rainbow at this event next Thursday and then singing standards in NYC two days later, Kat's going to feel like she's 70, based on her previous statements. We should send her some prune juice and Ben Gay to comfort her. ;-)

Careful, or you're going to force Kat to do an album of children's songs just to prove how young her fanbase is.

I thought we'd get some pics in by now from Wireimage from this event--but apparently press was kept to a bare minimum tonight. Obviously, this event is going to be some kind of turning point in her musical persona. But I wouldn't necessarily guarantee that just because she's singing older material at David Foster's events. Kat knows how to balance all the different worlds of her musical diversity--and these events mean she isn't going to be singing 'Open Toes.' I think it may be a record, though, for her singing mostly standards within a whole month. But last year--she did the same thing at all the charity functions she attended. The standards work better within the message of these events.

Yes, that "Katherine" problem has to stop. And David Foster needs to send quality control into overdrive before putting out the press releases. Some people, though, just can't wrap it around their brains that someone could spell their name "Katharine." David's probably known a million "Katherines" in his career so far...and he's apparently sticking to it. Well, that is, until he starts working regularly with Kat and she has to endure his Taylor abuse daily...

Hmmm, I think you're confusing the Toronto event in 2 days (Thursday) with the charity dinner last weekend in Denver.

Anyway, the event agenda lists a fashion show before the gala entertainment (i.e. Katharine) goes on. I kinda hope she's not going to be walking the runway. Though last year's gala introduced the in look of 2007:

I don't think there were any McPhans in attendance. All we've got so far is a Toronto morning show interview.

Doesn't look like she is doing SOTR

Outfit doesn't seem to fit the theme as described.

Hopefully we get something better quality trickle in as it did with the Denver event.

In the radio interview Kat did in Canada, she did mention that she was bringing some of her "girls" along that had been performing songs with her the past several months. Most likely, she did Love Story and Not Ur Girl as well as performing SOTR as it fit in with the theme of the event. Just my thoughts!
