I am a new poster -but a big fan from the begginning.  Since I live in L.A., I can't understand why Kat is not getting any radio support.  I Finally heard from JoJo at KIIS -

I emailed him first -:Why do you have Love Story on your voting selections -when KIIS has no intentions of playing this song? -I've called your station requesting to play it, and I was told "nobody wants to hear her" - I strongly disagree and feel if you give this song a chance it could be a great summer hit.

His Reply:

the KIIS music department is testing fan reaction....so its up to you guys to show them you want KIIS to play it!

I emailed JoJo and I just got a reply from him as well:


"Love Story" has been included in the voting menu to test fan reaction. The KIIS music dept watches the votes closely when they are deciding what songs to add to the playlist - so vote!!

also, Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls" gets CRAZY votes!


Sounds to me like he is saying this is in our hands! So let's vote people!!!

KIIS is calling us out and we need to come through for Kat!!!


I still think Beautiful Girls sucks though!!

Does anyone from the LA area get an overall vibe as to why Kat gets so disrespected there in her hometown area? From the AI homecoming to the snub of not being asked back to AI this season (in Hollywood) to none of the radio stations being willing to play any of her music from her debut CD and on it goes. I can understand folks not getting jazzed up to come out to her homecoming last year, but I don't understand the AI snub or why KISS won't play Kat's stuff when they will sometimes play Taylor and Elliott who I highly doubt even have as much interest there as Kat (Chris I understand since he's getting airplay everywhere). What Kat is releasing is Top 40 type stuff so its just a mystery why they won't play her. Just a question, did KISS play JoJo's "Too Little, Too Late"? That's the song OI seems to get compared to as being very similar so I'm just wondering if JoJo got her song played on that station. If she did, then I'm convinced this is more a snub of Kat herself than it is her music.

No disrespect but instead of worrying about what happened with all of that let's just look at the task at hand and every Kat fan needs to vote as much as possible on that site and gget her added to the playlist!!

No more questions and speculation, just vote on KIIS. If we do that then none of what happened before will matter in the least. JUST VOTE!!!

agree! we need to assume good intentions and vote hard. continued debate over what a station will do or won't do seems to create ambivalence on whether to proceed with voting vigorously.

I've been voting since last week. I vote whenever and wherever I can as long as there is computer nearby so that it looks like it's coming from different IP addresses.

I'm also still sending emails to Z100 every day to request. So folks let's just vote vote vote !

I'm not getting an ulcer over it by any means but it is VERY curious why a local product from ANYWHERE would be getting disrespected like Kat has been in the LA area so the questions I posed to locals from that area is to get some understanding of what the dynamics are that are in play here.  And nothing about asking an obvious question will stop me from dropping by and voting for LS.

I sent in a request for LS. If you would help with Wpst, they are dragging their feet on Love Story. This station was playing Over It early on but we need to let them know we want to hear Love Story. wpst.com is the sight and you can go to the request section and request Love Story. Thanks

I just got another email from JoJo. I'm not going to post the contents but I DO BELIEVE he is trying to help here. WE NEED TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE SITE AND VOTE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE!!!!

Just go to kiisfm.com and got to ON AIR and click JoJo Top 9@9 and vote from there!!! YOU CAN VOTE AS OFTEN AS YOU WANT JUST GO TO THE SITE FIRST ON YOUR OWN AND NOT CLICK A LINK HERE.!!!

I find it so funny how people are so easy to judge people they don't know, but think they have the right to scrutinize others because those "others" are celebrities. From Britney Spears to Katharine McPhee radio hosts and magazines will always make unfair statements and allegations. I am fans of both Britney and Katharine, two totally different artists, but I find that whether you are a icon or a promising newcomer from a hit reality show, the punches and jabs will come and never stop...but I have news for the haters, they won't stop either so you can take your opinions and give them to people that care, because the fans are like, SO over it.

I've been doing most of my voting through links supplied here. Are you saying they can track the links and it won't mean as much if they think the vote is coming from a fan site? Then what good are all our link threads? Do we have to favorite everyplace where we normally vote and pull them up one at a time? And if they're encouraging people to vote as often as they like (and they are), what do they care where the votes come from? They must know that fanatics will vote 200 times to a casual viewer's once.

This is news to me groucho. I suppose it's possible to trace links if they REALLY wanted to. Seems like alot of effort to validate votes though.
