I haven't been here for awhile so you can see my surpise when I come back and this place is filled with negativity and drama!

Will people just chill out already?

Kat is doing fine. Being a new artist is a tough gig. Not everyone can make it big without work like Daughtry. Imagine the countless numbers of artists who had to deal will so much crap and fight so much adveristy to be where they are.

Kat is LUCKY in comparison to people who had to slave there asses off in bars or clubs or stupid shows where only one person was watching them and that was only to get a recording contract. Kat has a contract, with one of the biggest labels in the business. Why do people have to make it out like she's failing.

When people were giving Christina Aguilera a hard time her fans stuck by her, there was no negativity. All I see here is people complaining and complaining.

Basically, what I'm saying is she's not failing by any means. She didn't go on the AI finale because they probably didn't have enough room to book her. It's not a big deal. All you people are doing is bringing Kat down and briging the moral of her fanbase down as well. It's totally and utterly imature.

We're suffering from a variety of things, i think. One of them is that it seems to be human nature to compare yourself to people who have what you don't, and forget that there are others who have less and are seeing you in that same light. Around here it might be called Daughtryitis.

Another thing is, we've been listening to rumor mongers. There's nothing worse than a case of dashed hopes/failed expectations.

And they had plenty of room to book her. They simply chose not to and we'd like to know why. We may never, but we'd still like to.

That said, I'm getting into the Love Story campaign.

That's what I've been thinking Kelly. These are times where Kat needs her fans the most so we can't think negative about the whole situation and keep thinking that she is failing. In my opinion she most certainly is not failing, she just is new to the business and its going to take some time for her to get well adjusted. We can't always expect her to be perfect cause no one is perfect. We have our good times and we have our bad times, that's just how it is, But during the bad times, if we stick together, we can help Kat defeat whatever problem gets in her way. We stuck by her on AI so hows this any different? I am fully 100% sticking by Kat to help her through these times.

Well said, but remember that there are people who intentionally do try to bring her down even here, I guess what we all just want to know are the reasons behind these things and understand them and move on.

By "these things", I assume you meant the non-appearance on American Idol and the erroneously perceived bash by Clive Davis. Well, we are not going to know the behind the scenes reasons for executive decisions, so let's move on. A bump in the road is just that. Most of us expected Katharine to go straight to the top of the charts and stay there. It didn't happen quite so quickly. She has to get in line like every other neophyte artist. Everything will appear better and be as they should. No sense in dwelling on the negative.

you know what, who cares if she didnt appear on the AI finale, doesnt mean shes not good. we just gotta vote for LS and make it high on the charts. Kat also has a new video blog on her site.

Well said Kelly. It's just we acted a little bit on our anger because most of us were expecting to see her back on the show this year, but the fact that she wasn't invited doesn't mean she is failing.
