NUG supporters. I like DWYD but I am older and not so in touch with music that younger people like, especially considering that I have all boys!! Anyway, I'm just wondering why you think this would be a hit? I think there's a good reason why it's so high up in this poll...enlighten me!!!

Catchy rhythm, lyrics aren't nearly as silly as Open Toes or as racy as DWYD. It's one of those songs that can get in your head and never leave.

I think I may really like NUG a little better, but I voted for DWYD simply because the "This is sick" at the beginning is worth the price of admission!!

OPEN TOES.

You guys have to think about what song will most appeal to Kat's audience, I agree that the lyrics aren't that great but you can't deny that it is catchy as hell and would be the biggest radio hit out of all the songs on the album! Open Toes will open up Kat to the core demographic of teenagers that buy albums and it will raise her sales ALOT. I know this because everyone at school knows I love Kat so I make them listen to her on my iPod and even the people that HATE her say that Open Toes has potential to be a big hit.

I love Not Ur Girl, but I think Open Toes is more commercial and more apt to sell units of the album and the single download!
I find it so funny how people are so easy to judge people they don't know, but think they have the right to scrutinize others because those "others" are celebrities. From Britney Spears to Katharine McPhee radio hosts and magazines will always make unfair statements and allegations. I am fans of both Britney and Katharine, two totally different artists, but I find that whether you are a icon or a promising newcomer from a hit reality show, the punches and jabs will come and never stop...but I have news for the haters, they won't stop either so you can take your opinions and give them to people that care, because the fans are like, SO over it.

AND no offense to the older Kat fans on this site but of course you guys are going to pick the song that is more driven to your audience, but there are more teenagers that are ready to buy Kat's album then adults...especially with her releasing OI & LS.

Those three songs are my favorites from her album, along with Everywhere I Go, Over It and Neglected. So, it's really hard to choose.
But i chose, OPEN TOES. Because it's the most catchy tune from her Album. And, yes.. Kat really loves it!

Open Toes because of Kat's target audience, but my preference is Not Ur Girl because of the basic rock beat and it is catchy and identifiable for most, it's unique from anything else on the album.

I'm too old to appreciate the lyrics of DWYD, and if I thought Open Toes would blow the roof off in spins and sales I'd be all for it. Actually I don't know, because I don't think like the target demographic, and I just want whatever will work for her. Some people have reported that concert audiences didn't seem to "get" Open Toes and I thought they were people in the sales target range, but what do I know.

Dangerous barely made it onto the album. I suppose she's performing it live because it's a little livelier than one of the ballads without being lively enough to not be singable without gasping for breath while doing a little stage strutting.

Well it may not be as Kat as the other ones, but its more modern and it wud do good. I promise it wud. It kinda reminds me of Britney Spears's "Toxic" [and as much as i hate her that is a good song you know.]

There seem to be two schools of thought on that. (1) go for the sound that's in, so if your song sounds like some current hit, it should fit right in. (2) do something different, create the KM sound, show the world who you really are. So far it seems to be a bit of a struggle to go the fitting in route, but then we're only on the second single, so we'll see what happens.

Well if you're intending to make some money, you might wana go with the first one. besides, she shouldn't even have a problem with the second one with LS anyway. =] and right now it is VERY hard for me to put a smiley there so you know that must rele mean something.
