I've called and left a message at both numbers listed on this thread and also sent an email to all three email contacts of AI. This just burns me up!! I just learned from that email from Peisha that the family is also pretty upset that Kat has not been asked to appear on Idol. Kat's mother wouldn't have made such a statement if Kat were scheduled to appear this season as a surprise guest or anything else. Surely they would have arranged everything by now if that was going to happen. I agree with everybody - Let's make our feelings known to Idol regarding this "KAT" blackout. I'm very irritated about it and obviously Kat's family feels the same way. The powers that be at Idol need to know that Kat's fan base is alive and well. Even if it does no good right now, it will certainly encourage them to feature her next season!!

I'm not willing to just sit by & do nothing myself, so I'm joining in the effort. I've already sent off a "puzzled yet courteous" note to each of these email address's... from two different email accounts that I have. So, that's 6 email msgs that FOX & AI will get just from me alone.
Dear Sirs: We have heard that Katharine McPhee is not going to appear on the finale show. Why? I as a fan feel that she should be on the show as additional evidence of how important American Idol has become, that it contributes worthy artists to the music industry. I live in the Bay Area, San Francisco which has many fans. The local station, KIOI-FM has consistently supported Kat as well as Chris, Carrie and Kelly. Katharine McPhee's "Over It'' consistently places in the top 5 played in the area. Moreover, Kat's record was #1 three straight weeks at VH1. This is to show you how important this Idol alumna has made us all proud of American Idol and how America has accepted them as fresh new faces in the music world!!! Yes, I am a fan who would be very disappointed not to see her recognized for her outstanding achievements. Certainly, PEOPLE got it right when they recognized Katharine McPhee as a "Most Beautiful" this year. And please, I hope you will too! Thank you, Minnie San Francisco, CA
Here's my biggest deal about this. It just looks BAD. It looks terrible for them to bring Kellie, Elliott, Chris & Taylor back and not bring back Katharine. So they bring back the ones they signed plus Elliott (who they did sign to a publishing deal...not sure what that means) but no Katharine? Doesn't make any sense to me.
So I'll hold out hope that we're all panicking over nothing. Does this make or break her career? Of course not. But the simple fact is....IT IS JUST WRONG! It's wrong to have Kellie & Elliott back and not Katharine. Just is. You can bring back the Golden Boy Chris & the Champion Taylor and I don't have anything to say.
But you cannot bring back Elliott & Kellie without Katharine. You just can't. And why wouldn't you want your most glamorous, glittering & beautiful Idol ever back?
I couldn't agree more. I am not one of the one's that is up and arms about this whole issue, but that is a VERY VALID point. They should have her on, if for nothing else, to show a little respect.
I learned long ago in this business, it's not a good idea to make enemies. What goes around usually comes back around..... meaning, if in fact AI snubbed her this time around, they may be crying in their beer when they desperately want her back on and she refuses.
