I got that email earlier today--and I initially thought Kat was announcing a major summer tour in conjunction with this contest. Then, when you see the dates listed...it's still the same ones that go through June, so it won't help me any. Though I hope we'll be hearing about more dates in future weeks. Kat's hinted in recent radio interviews that she's going to be plenty busy through the summer...which indicates she may know she'll likely be an opening act for someone. The question still remains though: Who? Or, maybe it's: What? When these meet and greet sessions come up--it always makes me wonder how they ultimately conduct these things. I've attended some meet and greets for other performers before...and they're almost always militaristic in the way they're organized. Though I guess many of you already got a taste of that during the 'AI' tour last year. But that was slightly different...considering all the idols were sitting at a dais. For a singular artist, you're usually lined up like cattle against a wall backstage--and then wait in line while each individual has exactly one minute to spout the meaning of life to the star you're there to meet. And, because it's usually over in a flash--there's usually only time for a meet and no real greet. It probably helps if Kat already knows who you are. I think she knows most of us by now who've been around on the boards since practically the beginning. Otherwise, it's usually small talk and nervous "how ya doin?" type of banter. Well, we know Kat knows how to converse based on the m&g's last year. Here's hoping you guys in Seattle can enter this and experience that. From what I hear, Kat asks YOU questions rather than the other way around. So be prepared to go into the zone as you would in a job interview.

Heh...well from the sound of it only four people are getting these passes at each show. I'm sure there might be some "important" people involved as well but it doesn't seem like Kat would be swamped so you'll probably get a good audience with her. Anyone else having problems registering for the contest on the site? I keep getting some message about a "missing referer" or something.
