Well, is it all that unusual for a single to sell better than the CD? That Bad Day song comes to mind. I mean that was a big hit for him mainly because of the exposure on AI, but did that carry over to his album sales?

Because it may be that not enough people will find most of the songs to their liking, to invest in the entire CD, but the Pop market will lactch on to one song, the ballad lovers to another, and the rhythmic to yet another, so the indivdual songs succeed, but not the CD as a whole. How would you judge the CD then? As a success or failure?

The point is, how will RCA judge it? Is that enough to get her the next album? I want her to be around making music forever so I'm hardly an unbiased judge. And how are the ballad lovers to find out about the album unless some of the ballads get released to a radio market they listen to? The urban pop stations in my area are unlistenable.

You guys are really bumming me out! What's with all the pessimism and speculation? I say put all this time and energy into voting and keep thinking positively. The next single is about to drop and hopefully that will renew the interest in voting on the part of Kat fans again. Let's face it, Over It is getting played out and we need some new impetus. Kat is just about to start her concert appearances and that can't help but improve her sales.
