I figured Katharine  being a In Studio guest on this show warrants a new thread, so I started one.

Update on tonights OHP scorecard, the "J Records presents Over It by Katharine McPhee..."  commercial played twice tonight and both were registered by Yes!.  In addition, the Mig Radio Remix was spun as well and unfortunately it did not register with Yes! as a spin. Here is what John Garabedian  said about Katharine being a guest next week, " I've had more requests from friends  for this night that Katharine "Kat" McPhee is going to be here. People really want to meet her.  She is so beautiful."


They played it again so 2 commercial (which count as spins on Yes) and one Mig Remix spin (which doesn't count) and finally a plain old fashioned spin too, which, of course does count.

If you requested thanks and if not....get on it tomorrow.

Just an update on Sunday's (4/15) OHP, the Mig Radio Remix of Over It was played early on and at 7:37 PM PDT  the album version played and registered 21 spins on Yes!

John G. the guy who hosts the Saturday version of OHP calls her Kat McPhee almost exclusively.  It may be "edgy" but it certainly sounds more like a pop star than Katharine McPhee, which sounds a wee bit like some girl off a reality show or something.

Yeah, I know, and she frequently introduces herself as "Kat McPhee here" when she's doing a video thing, but I still hate it. Sounds like somebody who'd run a saloon in 1850's Dodge City. Probably sang on Saturday nights if things got slow. Cracked a few cowhands over the head with a bottle if necessary. Good ole Kat McPhee. Yuck.

I hate Kat McPhee (not the person of course).  I don't mind Kat at all.  I just don't like the two put together.  But I can live with it.  As long as her official information says Katharine McPhee...although maybe shrinking it to Kat McPhee is a way to eliminate the misspellings.

I just noticed that Over It is #8 on the OHP Top 10 list on their site!  Woooo!

For the record, the lady on WHTZ in the afternoon...Shelley Wade?  Is that right?  Calls her Kat McPhee as well when I've listened.  As Seacrest called her that when I heard him introduce OI on AT40.  So....I guess it does make her hip & edgy I suppose.  If Chris Daughtry can lose his first name entirely and it works for him maybe Katharine can afford to lose a few letters.

I'm glad she was rescheduled to be on here again. I haven't had too much trouble getting calls through in the past so hope I'll be as lucky today.

Some of the D Js here have been calling her Kat McPhee when giving promos for the upcoming Radio Concert here in May, and it really doesn't bother me.

Believe it or not there are still people out there who don't know every little thing about her. We forget that because we voraciously snap up every little snippet of info that comes down the pike, burp, and beg for more.

Dang, I just went back to page 1 and turned on the stream and there she was!  Some lady called in and K. said "She's listening to Fergie." They had a different station on and they could hear it playing in the BG of the call. So I have to sit through an hour of pop/rock/hiphop to get a few seconds of Katharine. Argh.

Later: The DJ just reminded her she had to go because she had to get up at the crack of dawn to catch a plane, and she said "Oh do I have to?" and he said no, stay as long as you want. And she LOVES "Girlfriend." The DJ kept saying "Yeah, because it reminds you of when you were 9 years old and liked to go NYA NYA NYA NYA NYA to people." Then we had a ton of commercials and music i wouldn't listen to for any other reason. Hopefully she'll be back for more. Gotta go back and see if she's still there.

Dj just said "We just said goodbye to Katharine McPhee," so he had to play Fergalicious, which he absolutely hates but they get tons of requests for. Amen to that. Will somebody excerpt Katharine's portions of this eventually?

I 've gotten through 3 times so far to request, but they wouldn't let me talk to her. The Chat there was a bit hectic-lots of people. Kat didn't answer anything while I was in there , but might have read some of it.

Katharine actually answered my first question (I had many others but they were dumb lol). I asked her how Nena is. And she first said "Nena is soooo cute." and then she said "She's good." lol I could just picture her saying Nena with that cute voice.

I put an audio mp3 capture of Katharine @ Open House Party up in the media section. It may or may not be better than Noth's.

I just added a capture of the webcam video from OHP to my media thread for this event.  Watch Kat eat, drink and be merry all without being distracted by the annoyance of audio.

Oh, I got all wrapped up in the media and forgot to give the scorecard for Over It.  OHP played the remix (New Generation Radio)  twice and the album version once.  So if you are keeping score that ought to help you.
