There seems to be an absence of Kat news online.  Is she still in Italy?  Hopefully, she got to spend Easter weekend with family and friends?  Does anyone know?  I breezed through other Kat sites, the "official" sites, and didn't find much that KMF doesn't already have.  (This is still the best place to come for my Kat-fix!)  LOL!

I haven't listened to the remixes yet.  I just dl'd them.  If that's all the Kat I can get right now, I'll take it and quit complaining!  LOL!  I guess I just miss Kat like everyone else.  I've started watching her AI performances again.  Thank goodness I finially bought another hard drive for just Kat's stuff!

Hopefully, we'll hear from Kat soon!

I agree with you guys! Other than a couple concert announcements, and the remixes, there's really nothing new. That song of the week is looking more like a song of the month...today it's been a month since she promised it to us the second time! I hope we get it soon!

She probably spent Easter with family and she is headed to Canada to do 4 concerts on April 14, 15th, 17th and 18th in the Toronto area. They are all free and they are televising ads showing a clip of a dramatic part of the Over It video about every 15 minutes. Apparently she will also be singing with Eva Avila and that should be interesting. They are both beautiful women with great vocal abilities.

No one at IDF has heard anything either. We've had a couple of "Where is Katharine" threads.

Where did you hear about 4 concerts? I had only heard about one appearance at the Canadian Idol auditions with Eva on the 14th. What are the other 3 concerts?

The auditions and Katharine continue on April 15th in Toronto and take place in Oshawa, Ontario (Toronto area) on the 17th and 18th all of them with Eva.


 

That picture is great, Don.  She will need that in Toronto.  Winter is back and the concerts are outside.

^Don, you need to place Kat McWaldo in a panoramic picture of Italian males surrounding her during an Italian carnival. Of course, if you also add Italian women into the mix, you might be able to spot Kat better while the women hit their husbands over the head with their shoes...

From all indications, Kat's just lying low to take advantage of being a regular person for as long as possible. Wouldn't you want to take that time and be a normal person if you're given some extra time in-between being a busy celebrity? Though, in reality, I think she's even busier than normal lately...and probably has a lot of secret projects underway that she's busy working on at the moment. She undoubtedly has a photoshoot almost every other day now, is likely rehearsing for her upcoming concerts, and dozens of other projects we'll learn about later.

Also, I think it's entirely possible Kat took an extended European excursion after visiting Italy recently. We've all heard her say that she wanted to go to Europe and take in things there...and perhaps she stayed for a while after the BSH promotion. Some people actually think she's still there, which is unlikely now without killing off half the older Italian male population.

I just hope that Kat can absorb being a normal person without having to be expected to provide a video blog on a regular basis. Hopefully there's a few days when there's no hints of her even being a celebrity. The more days she has like that, the mentally healthier she'll stay. Besides, if her day was just going to the grocery store, making the bed, etc., then she said she probably wouldn't put that in a blog. Though I think most of us stand by the notion that Kat could take something like housesweeping and turn it into high art...

Katharine will be doing some important appearances in the next while, starting this weekend. She will probably be performing for at least 30 minutes in each. So far, she and her band have only rehearsed 2 songs from the album, so they have a lot of synchronizing to do before then. She is simply very busy.

I thought most of these concerts featured a variety of artists. If they all did 30 minute sets, those would be some kinda concerts... bring a sleeping bag, backpack and camp stove. Well, I only heard two names in connection with the Canadian Idol thing, but...

American Idol Katharine McPhee will be the special musical guest at the Opening Keynote. NAB2007 will begin with McPhee singing the national anthem for all registrants who choose to attend.

^I saw your post in there--and thanks for the news. We only have one (partial) record of Kat singing the National Anthem. That was last summer when she sang it for the Princess Cruise Lines for a new christened ship. (And it was given a curse by Martha Stewart. ) We had the audio of Kat singing only the first few lines of the NA--but we have yet to have anything on record of her singing it in its entirety. Kat's voice was pretty tired that day last summer, too, when she sang it (it was right after the grueling post-'AI' finale media blitz...and right before her laryngitis scare)--which might have contributed to her having more vocal problems later due to the famous high note.

Now that Kat's fully healthy, we'll hopefully be able to hear her hit that high note so she can prove to everybody she can tackle it. The way Kat can make any song known to humanity all her own--I'm sure she can re-invent Francis Scott Key as well as any other composer of the last one-hundred years.

Good luck to you, Paula, on meeting Kat up in Toronto...on FRIDAY THE 13TH!  This is just the beginning of her excursion to the international markets, even though I never consider Canada international when they're so close to me. I still put our B.C. neighbors right into the U.S. NW quadrant.

Oh, that Much Music show will be a blast to see Kat on next week. I can't watch it where I am, but I know they have this big panoramic window in the studio (much like 'The Today Show')--where fans can go nuts holding up signs and things. Kat will undoubtedly go out into those sea of people, too, as she did on TRL. The only mystery will be if Jenn, Melissa and Steph will go all the way to Toronto to sit in their reserved Much Music chairs. It doesn't take all that long to go from NYC to Toronto...

Thanks, Greg. I'm very excited about meeting Katharine this weekend. but it won't be on Friday the 13th. I'm afraid I'm too old to be admitted to Much On Demand, but I will see her and hopefully meet her on Saturday at the Idol Party. I really want her to know that we Canadians are as supportive as our American neighbors and that McPheever spreads beyond the borders.

It is very exciting to find that the National Association of Broadcasters has chosen Katharine to open there worldwide convention. THIS IS HUGE!! Over 100,000 people plus foriegn associates are going to be there. Again fans THIS IS HUGE!!
