Just something about Beyonce's "Beautiful Liar".  It isn't exactly EXPLODING onto the Pop scene right now.  I mean by Beyonce standards (which are different from the rest of the world).  Maybe it's partially because Irreplaceable is still getting played in a lot of places but I'm surprised it isn't already in the Top 10 on the airplay charts.

I'm convinced there's no magic formula to what makes a great single at this point.  Here's what we know...her go-to songs to perform at this point are Over It, Love Story & Home.  Those were also the songs placed on the sticker on her album at the stores.  Does that mean anything?  I don't know.  I would not be stunned if Love Story is the choice at this point.  As much as some of us don't totally LOVE it...I have seen a few reviews that think it's one of the strongest songs on the CD.

I've said this before a million times...but my personal choice is Not Ur Girl because I think it's a middle ground between Open Toes & Love Story.  I think it takes the best parts of those two songs and puts it in one 4-minute package.  It's a nice girl anthem, it's upbeat, it's got a little throwback sound to it, it's danceable, it's got a little attitude.  The main thing...it's very different from Over It.  I think that's required with this one.  And why Each Other shouldn't even be considered.  The choice for single #1 should have been Over It or Each Other.  When Each Other lost that fight....it should be out of the picture.

But if anybody's actually listening, OI and EO are thematic opposites, saying nothing about style, genre, or sound. And OI and NUG are both "kiss off" songs, only in the video she did OI with a little BOA flavor to it. Check out the wistful looks where you can almost hear her thinking "Boy did you ever love me?" The video for NUG would probably be vastly different from OI. And having acronymed you all to death, I will now stop.

OMG the Open Toes remix is soooooooooooooo cool. I LOVE it. this makes me more want it to be the next single. Even if you dont think it will do well. Fo example. Beyonce's 'Ring the Alarm' did ok on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by reaching # 11. But.....its remix was Number 1 and very popular on the Dance Club charts around the world. So even if you have doubts and they turn out to be true, the remix is pretty hot.

Even though, "Love Story" may be the next release(see above thread) I hope they'll release "OPen Toes", which is so upbeat.  And yeah, the remix is  really fun and fab!
