Congrats gang on those of you who got through, very cool! I am not sure why some of you had problems and some didn't. I had problems getting through last week on the phone but my e-mails didn't bounce back so I am assuming they got through. And looks like they spun it twice, which means on some of the stations that play the program and then repeat it means 4 spins for that station - great. Even though it seems that the show has a bit of an urban spin to it (at least last Sunday's did) all the stations are either POP, HAC or AC (with a few unaccounted for). None are Urban or Rhythmic. So Over It should stand a good chance for spins with enough requests. Looks like tonight's (3/3) show was more POP, so maybe the program does more POP on Sats and a bit more Urban on Sundays. We'll keep an eye on it to see if one night seems to have a better shot for Kat than the other. Here are some more numbers for those of you that aren't sick of numbers by now. Number of Radio Stations that carry all or part of the OHP show - 151 123 are POP / 15 - HAC / 4 - AC / 9 - Other 45 are monitored by Mediabase 40 are monitored by Nielsen BDS (System Billboard uses for Charts) 29 showed up on YES.com with first spin tonight (3/3) 105 are "W" stations east of the Mississippi 46 are "K" stations west of the Mississippi Bottom Line * 150 POP, HAC an AC stations are a LOT of listeners for Kat's music. Listeners that would respond to Kat given the formats. And a lot of listeners means a lot of exposure and in turn more sales (and a better chart position) * 40 of the stations count towards the spins/AI portion of the Billboard chart formula * Only 45 of the stations will show up on the Mediabase reports that we use to measure how Kat is doing (if they are all airing the show when it spins of course), but know that there are still another 106 stations that we will not see that are potentially spinning the song and generating great exposure. * Some stations do not play the entire program, and might drop it after the third hour, while other stations not only play the entire program, but they re-air it in its entirety again (doubling the spins from the original program. Tonight, since OI was spun twice in the original show means 4 spins for those stations!). Other stations play back a part of the show but might not carry it live. We are not sure how many of the stations take which approach, but in total, it means lots of spins. * So make sure you try to find some time on Sat and Sun evenings to request and get her heard!
