It is time to start a new Fan of the week, California Kat Phan is this fan of the week, but we still have to set up for next weeks. So here is how it goes!

i nominate Czar_Iya, for her work in the media end of KMF. Always willing to help in any way she can, a devoted Kat phan (but not as devoted as me). She is just a real Kat phan trooper, there when you need her.

While the tour is going on it just seems right that the Fan of the Week nominations tie into that somehow, because after the tour there will be other criteria that warrants a nomination (just my opinion, but thought I'd give some background to my reasoning).  So, on that note . . . . I hearby nominate Heather02 for coordinating and delivering the "Heart box w/ Notes from McPhans/Kat Packers" to Katharine at last Thursday's concert in Hungington, WV, and for bringing us the photos of Velma.

My nomination goes to someone who has always been there for Katharine and her fans, creating projects like the Girls' Bus Care Package and the Concert Letter writing project (pretty much the ONLY way to get a letter to Kat), ever ready with clever new phrases and nicknames that we've all enjoyed, this person unites people.

For all of her fan efforts, both publicly and behind the scenes, I hereby nominate Cobaby.

I'm going to go with Cobaby this week for her upbeat attitude and dedicated work on many projects. I definitely have enjoyed participating in the Write to Kat While She is on the Road project which Co organized and has kept going!

I nominate Susan Lucci--who will just pick up the award for Co when she finally wins. You see, after losing that many times...a trip off to Cancun is probably mandatory--just so you can win while you're away and be oblivious to anything happening on the net.

Yes, Co is really the logical person to win next based on those projects she did that were amazingly successful. The letters project has enabled me to write some little 'satire' pieces to Kat that she'll hopefully save as mementos of her time touring with 'AI.' And it's interesting that the letters project turned into something more meaningful overall. At first, we just wanted it to be a temporary thing to entertain her on the bus. Now, they've all become profound pieces of a special time for Kat. She made it that way herself with her comment that she'll spend extra time reading them later after the tour is over.

This is just one example of how Co's projects have turned into things that were much deeper in importance. So, based on that logic and other logic of her positive personality and losing more times than Ralph Nader in a Presidential election...Co's my nom for the week.

Don, I want to nominate you next week. The things Don's done behind the scenes are more unsung than they should be.
